Kong it is good that the Magic are tied now for best record in the East. This way they won't lose much ground after they lose two straight to the Lakers and the Nuggets.

When they play the Lakers, Kobe Bryant will dominate and lead his team to the relatively easy win. And when they play the Nuggets they will struggle with the thin air in Denver and having to play a back to back.

And Cavs are heading out on a tough road trip. We might be able to get that first seed soon. Go Magic!

I hope you are incorrect about the outcome of both games, but the Lakers game does scare me a bit. Especially when they lost their previous game. They will want revenge for both the previous loss Tuesday nite as well as the game they lost to us in Orlando.

We have to be VERY focused and on our game. But I am still confident we can be competitive in this game, and take it from them.

It's also not inconceivable (sp?) that we could not steal one from Denver. So far this season other sea-level teams have won there (including New Orleans....BELOW sea-level).

There is a noticable swagger, confident, yet DEVOID OF ARROGANCE, that I find VERY attractive of this team. It harkens back to the 94-95 team, but with more substance.

I'm very excited about our chances, yet realistic. It should be an interesting weekend.

The same way we were going to lose both of the games vs. Atlanta?

This match will decide who's going to be ahead when it's all said and done. Laker's loss to the Spurs recently dropped them closer the Magic. If Magic wins tonight, they'll be like half a game behind Cleveland or even take the lead in the east since Cleveland loss to the Bulls last night. Regardless of what the outcome is, as long as the Magic doesn't get blown out by the Lakers, Magic still has a chance of reaching or even winning the Finals.

The Lakers have an aging PG and no quality back up PG, that's one of the positions you take advantage of with them....

Lets look at this from another view point.
This game is a nationally televise game on ESPN.
We have 2 players that want to make the all star game Jammer and Lewis who Will play the game of their life to show that they belong in that game.
In addition we are in a hot streak and the Lakers are coming off a loss to the Spurs. This means that momentum is in our side.
Look for another game like we had against the Spurs well played by both with playoff intensity.
If the 3 pointers fall I see a Magic win.
Ummm I like this viewpoint better...:-)

Aron,
I was thinking the exact same thing the Lakers playing on national TV on their own private but-kissing network? Right after the SA loss?
Sadly, I look for Kobe to shoot about 25-30 free throws and Dwight to be in foul trouble about 1:30 into the first quarter.
Mark my words, if the Magic lose we'll all be on here tomorrow night saying the refs hosed us!
If the Lakers win the game will take up about 30 minutes of Sportscenter. If the Magic win it will be like, "The Magic slide past the Lakers. Now onto the Celtics and/or Cavs."
You forgot couple more....
if the MAGIC lose...we'll be back here complaining..
..why we traded ARIZA and....
..lets trade HEDO....and...
ummm...why Arroyo no play...
and JJ ****...
...and HOWARD cant shoot free throws....
...and OTIS ****...and ummm...
yeah thats all I have...

Well first off, both teams aren't at 100%. We are missing a starter and so are the Lakers. They are also missing some key reserves, but that doesn't matter too much.

Sadly I do have to agree with Jim on this one. I don't think we will win tonight either because of what happened to the Lakers on Wednesday night, but I think the game will be close and we will have a shot at it. Like I said last night, I just hope the refs don't screw us with stupid fouls on Dwight or not calling fouls in our favor like they did against the Lakers on Wednesday vs the Spurs (Ariza should have got a foul called for him against Manu on the last play of that game).

Another thing... Dunno if all of yawl read that article, but it was funny to me that when Dwight said to his Olympic counter parts that teams need to watch out for Orlando, they just laughed at him. I hope Dwight uses that as fuel for the whole year and moving in through the playoffs (his teammates as well).
