7 minutes left against the Nets and Magic down by 8.

They haven't learned their lesson, it seems. I agree with whoever said the Magic havent earned the right to cruise through the end of the season. Looks like just don't have self-respect and they certainly don't appear to have the heart of a champion.

Lots of folks still posting on this older thread. I have a feeling that if the Magic lose again tonight the forum will be alive with the sound of bitching and folks sounding the death knell on the Magic's season

And by the way where are the comments defending the Magic in regard to the PISTONS ? Instead of calling people names in here you all should be giving reasons as to how the Magic could possibly defeat the PISTONS.
Thank you for telling us what we should be discussing in here.

Yes, then it will get back to normal as the Magic cruise thru Round #1. Then in Round #2, the first game the Magic lose, they will all be back.

the magic are good but their not a great team. the sooner the get off there the big ego horse the sooner they will start winning games. that goes for the whole institution. when you look at them play they win because they are able to take advantage of some key matchups. but when it comes to just all out balling they are just another average team. they think they are the bulls or the lakers and that they sure ain't. the celtics have more marquee players and that is not to say their not pros, their just not the best of the best. the celtics on the other hand have a few who are already or will be in the record books. these franchise players should open a chain of McDonald's or Burger King's because as for a championship that's as close the gonna get to being on top.

This loss sums up why the Magic will be laughed at by ESPN, the media, and the rest of the basketball nation come playoff time.

I have read your dribble before. You lack any common sense and basketball analysis. You hide and disappear whenever the Magic are winning and then show up whenever the Magic hit a rough spot in the road. Every team runs into rough spots during the season. The Magic played tough when they needed too, now they get to relax some and ease up. That is normal. Nothing wrong with it at all. Micheal did a great job explaining it on Page 2 and you guys didnt listen at all. We saw the same kind of posting last year and just like last year it doesnt mean a thing. The Magic have the best record in the league against the toughest team and that is what counts. In other words, when it counts they play. When the playoffs start thats what counts. These last couple of games are basically meaningless. They do not in any way or form predict or have any factor on how a team performs in the playoffs. So get a life and learn what NBA basketball really is.
I'm happy you acknowledge I know how to dribble.
I can shoot foul shots too.

Oddly, I agree with you when you say the Magic need to relax the last few games - which is why SVG shouldn't have played the starters, period. Instead he plays them gets a predictable lousey effort and loses.

I don't agree with you when you say the team can just turn it on at will. There hasn't been a team in history that wins-it-all that thinks they can turn it on when they need to. They come focused and ready to play - all game.

They're not sitting on the bench goofing off or practicing their 3/4 court shots.

Well, if I at least got that part right, what was the part I got wrong?
That there's no reason for concern about their lack of consistent focus. They rarely come ready to play a full 48 minutes against anyone.

They're more concerned about being friends with all their opponents and goofing off before a game and on the bench.

Why do you gotta bring ethnicity into this? Obviously because with statements like that you have proven that the only intelligence you have is for flipping burgers yourself!

Lets talk basketball again please!

I'm retired and doing just fine. And I didn't retire at 60 by flipping burgers. This recession is the best thing that has come along since I quit working.
Now, finish that Mountain Dew and get to sweeping floors.

Recession best thing to come along since you quit working? If that's the case you must have lived a sorry life if a recession is the best thing... I feel sorry for you.

I would hope that you would pick up a book, and please do it soon!
