Wow, "So what" made such a senseless hateful comment. Anyway, it is a tough business, and I/we all liked Dooling (I think). Good guy, energetic, not afraid to put up the shot and often made key shots. I hope the Magic get everything they want from Pietrus.

Shame to see Dooling go, but honestly I didn't feel confident with him on the floor running the show.

What options do we have now?

Great guy, really embodied Heart and Hustle last year. He'll be missed. I hope he gets his due because he's earned it. Nevertheless, it allows us to move on. We now need a legitimate backup PG more than ever. What'dya got, Otis?

As far as what they do now... they come in at least 4th, 5th or 6th in the East next year! LMAO!
Um, I thought Dwight was a christian. A hypocrite christian (having a child out of wedlock) but still a chrisitan. What does this have to do with anything, btw?

This offseason appears to be 1 step forward, 2 steps back for the Magic. It is a revolving door at the 2 spot with Lee in, Petrius in (didn't know the General in Iraq could play hoops :)), Evans out and now Dolling out. What are the Magic going to do to address glaring needs at 1 and 4 spots?

Cautious optimism after Lee to questioning after Petrius to headscratching after Dooling.

I hope Otis has something up his sleeve ...

no one is perfect...he is still human at the end of the day. saul killed christians before becoming apostle paul and peter denied Christ himself and still went on to preach the gospel - not a hypocrite just a young guy who got caught up. that is what God's grace is for.

anyway, i really hate to see dooling go. i would rather see him stay, but i guess this is for the best. i wish him well if this is really it.

I could care less if jack-it-up dooling leaves...everytime he had the ball it was shoot first, pass second. This was a contract year for him so he played his rear off. The magic really need a point that is going to run the team and be willing to pass the ball.

If you think back on the season, whenever dooling was in the game at the end of a quarter or half, if it was in his hands he was shooting it, didnt matter if someone else was standing wide open on the court, he always jacked it up. Good Riddance.

Wow dude,,that was an extremely low blow. People make mistakes, to question a man's relationship with god is definately not your place to do so. real low..

Uh, I believe N In's posting about Dwight being a hypocrite Christian was sarcasm pointed towards LMAO's ridiculous rant about the Magic doing away w/ "good christians" and spreading "the Muslim faith."

Anyhoo, I'm bummed to see Keyon go. While he wasn't starter material and wasn't the best of PG's, his energy off the bench was exactly what we needed, and beat Arroyo any day.

I'm scratching my head why we needed to spend the entire ML excpetion on a backup to start when we already have 2 backups (Bogans and Reddick) already under contract, as well as a rookie, who could start at SG.

Otis likes overpaying for hsi FA's, doesn't he?

A little sad to see him go, more upset that the ownership is too damn cheap to go over the luxury tax. If they would have proportioned their money correctly, we could still have Dooling or someone better.

Do the Magic have problems scoring the ball? No. I think that best case scenario would have been if Mo Evans stuck around, but he's not. We need a defensive minded two guard with some size. With Mo Evans gone, our options at 2 guard where Dooling, JJ, and Bogans. None of which are a viable option. Clearly Magette would have been nice, but we were never in the running. At least with this signing, we can start Jameer at 1, Pietrus at 2, Rashard at 3, Dwight at 4, Battie at 5, and Hedo comes in as the best 6 man in the league. We still have the ability to score and our defense becomes a lot better by with Pietrus at the 2, moving Rashard back to his natural 3 position, and Battie helps Dwight out with other teams bigs. At first I wasn't too excited, but I think Otis is doing the right thing. Lets face it, everything Otis has done has been a lot better than what we would have gotten out of Weisbrod.

I hate that he's not going to be back. Keyon played with so much energy, which if you ask me, is what the rest of the team lacked on a very consistant basis. He was their best on the ball defender and wasnt afraid to get dirty diving for a loose ball or two.... and of course, he's gone.

I think Orlando not re-signing Dooling is a huge mistake, he was fantastic last year as a spark off the bench. I rate Dooling much higher than Pietrus, we should have spent the money bringing Dooling back, rewarding a guy for 3 years of good service to the team. Where is the loyalty?

I think it stinks.
