One thing I noticed this preseason - Dwight was nailing his free-throws. If this team can continue to drain it's free throws, and get CONSISTENT point guard play, the magic will be positioned to at least make it to the east finals. I don't think we can compete with Boston just yet, but I think we can match up well w/ the Pistons or the Cavs.

GO MAGIC!

I'm so tired of hearing about our suspect PG play. It's a joke, and if you don't think so you weren't paying attention to last years playoffs.

Jameer flat out outplayed Ford/Calderon (and people are saying Calderon is set to be the next great PG in the East), and he completely kept pace with Billups and Stuckey.

People want to talk about how he can't guard bigger PG's (i.e. Billups). News flash, no one can guard Billups. It's why he's an allstar and finals MVP...

This team split the season series with Boston last year. Two of the four games they lost to Detroit in the playoffs were well within their reach, and slipped away because of better experience and poise from the Pistons, not because of inferior talent.

Show some faith people. Every team in this league has huge question marks, and the Magic's are no less or greater than any of the other Championship calibre teams out there!

Each new beginning starts with HIGH HOPES and confidence. Then ...
SLAM!! Someone shut that D-a-mn Window...the Air Conditioner is on!

Hopes & dreams we all have, just like NBA Players.... but in the end Magic will still be a 4th to 8th finisher in the EAST.

Also, it wont surprise me one iota if JJ sits again. Maybe if VanScumsby does that again they will finally trade JJ so he can go be a winner...unlike the Magic.

But on a HIGH NOTE...just think how much money the poor people are gonna get from all these millionaire NBA players if Usama Obama wins. Give some of that money to the "Po Folks".

Still using AOL

Here ask JJ if after some anal trauma he bestows upon you, if you can just get an internet explorer and quit paying monthly for AOL.

It will save JJ a couple of dollars and you can go get your sister/wife cleft removed.

Maybe if you swallowed for JJ he would play D.

Jameer got the job done in the playoffs, I'll admit it. But during the season he was very inconsistent. There was a point when they actually started Arroyo for a while to make a statement.
He's a shoot first PG. That's good and all, but sometimes it helps to have the PG move the ball... he seemed to understand this more during the post-season & seemed effective.
He's on the right path, but most of the season our PG play was suspect. If you didn't notice this you did not watch enough games.

The dude, I bet to differ.
Boston is one team that I hope we see in the first round. We matchup well and they cannot deal with our mistmatches. They have their big 3, while we have our crazy wild 3. Can anybody match HOWARD? Stop 3's from Lewis/Hedo. And our defense will be much better hence Allen/Pierce are containable. Detroit is the only problem we have. We just cannot match their intensity and experience yet. But this year could be something else.

Hey, do not forget that point guard Carlos Arroyo, joined last season's runners-up, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv for 2.5 miilions euros and that is almost 4US millions.
