A win is a win.....right??? We almost let this one,and possibly the WCF series, get away from us. I can understand maybe one of the younger LAKERS players making the gaffes that almost gift wrapped a comeback victory to the Spurs.....but KOBE!!!!???!!! that was truly a bone headed play the He made, and when all said and done, a win is a win!!!!!!!!!.LET'S CLOSE THIS THING OUT THURSDAY.

It seems to me that Phil, Kobe and Derek need to sit these kids down and teach them how to play with a lead. With Odom and Fisher in foul trouble for most of the game, this was their time to shine. But it looked as if they were struggling to catch up. (Realistically, they were trying to extend the lead.) But the quick shots and nervous ball handling made it look like they were down 10. The Spurs hadn't defended (or rebounded) well throughout the game, but looked brilliant at the end, by default. Yes, Kobe took an ill-advised shot. The necessary move was to pass the ball out and reset. But the off-balance, fade-away with two defenders (or more) in your face IS his wheelhouse, so don't hate on him too much.

Why is nobody talking the refs and the no calls when the mvp of the league cant get to the free throw line for an entire game when was the last time that ever happened the only thing that i saw on the last play is what has been happening to the lakers for the four games they have played the spurs they are playing 5 on 8 anyway and still managing to win;" Very Impressive "to me

The Lakers doing poorly at the end of the game has less to do with being young and more to do with Kobe's ball hogging. If the Lakers continued to run their offense as they have throughout the game, they would do better, but they turn the ball over to Kobe for his Michael Jordan solo and then stand around and watch.

This was a very poorly written article with lack of great insight into the important points of the game... Number 1: The Lakers never trailed in the game and CLOSED out the spurs Number 2: The Lakers are a young team and give them some credit for maintaining compsure throughout the game Number 3: Dont tell me the Lakers are aspiring to be a great team when they came back from 20 down in the middle of the third against a team that you call in your mind a great team Man what is going on in Lakerland, cant people just enjoy a win...

Lots of controversey w/ regards to Fishers foul and earlier shot that actually hit the rim. What's more amazing is that if you look at the last play in slow-mo, Barry actually traveled before the shot. See for yourself!

If you read Bill Plasche's (sp?) sports column in todays LA Times, you will change your tune about Kobe. I dare you.

Number 1: The Lakers never trailed in the game and CLOSED out the spurs -They didnt close out. The spours outscored the Lakers in the 4th. So that's not true.-And we almost gave the game away at the end w/ bonehead shots and mistakes. We're lucky we werent playing Boston. Number 2: The Lakers are a young team and give them some credit for maintaining compsure throughout the game- Kobe, Lamar, Derek and even Pau have tons of experience between them. Kobe clearly lost his composure. Pau missed some crucial free throws. Number 3: Dont tell me the Lakers are aspiring to be a great team when they came back from 20 down in the middle of the third against a team that you call in your mind a great team.-Let's not kid ourselves. The Sperms are old and tattered for the most part. I cant believe HOrry's still playing.
Man what is going on in Lakerland, cant people just enjoy a win... I will enjoy it once it's solidly played. You cant objectively say the Lakers played a solid 4 quarters last game. Play that way against Boston or Detroit and I guarantee you the result wont be the same. This should be a wakeup call.
