Another bigtime win for the Huskies. It's been a tough stretch for the Thabeet haters.

Mature play...it seems like all the time together (including the painful season two years ago) has really made these guys gel...i hope the giant in the middle has woke up and continues to just focus on blocks, alternating plays, put backs and rebounds....and Adrian realizes how much better he is when he does not dribble...Price, Dyson and Austrie have been in control...and seems Edwards, Robinson and Walker alternate on who is going to spark this club...it is fun stretch to watch...what ever happens all these road wins have shown that this team is tough, mature and Calhoun can coach....

looks like the Coach has a motivator behind the bench.
I think It is Ben Schillburg from Willimantic. He was a good player in high school
Nice the see the big guy smile.

I've read the ridiculously idiotic comments on these blogs for the last couple years. I've watched you clueless fools make ridiculous comments like, "Calhoun can't coach." And "Calhoun has lost his edge he can't recruit anymore." You think? Seems like an awfully damn good recruiter to me and anyone who says Calhoun can't coach anymore doesn't understand basketball.

I've read how bad Thabeet is. Thabeet is by far the best defensive player in the country and is now coming along tremendously on the offensive end. He made the Louisville bigs look absolutely foolish in the paint. They didn't even try to get a shot off!

The intense full court Louisville pressure? Didn't work at all against the tremendous Connecticut guards. UConn is FAST and plays the best defense in the country.

Where are the UConn haters? Where are the jealous insignificant low-life bashers?

"Being No. 1 is like winning in Maui," Calhoun said. "It's nice but I want to be there in April."

Coach Calhoun couldn't be more on point with the above comment. However, UConn reinforced its Number 1 ranking by the entire teams performance against Louisville. There was a time, not long ago, when many detractors called the conference "the Big Least".
No more as their conference is the toughest in the nation. Perhaps it could be referred to as the "Big Beast" and deservedly so as to the number of top 25 teams in the NCAA.

Uconn dominated the Cards last night, but I don't think they are that much better. Louisville's inside players were afraid of Thabeet, and did not take it to him (reason for only 2 UofL free throws.) I'm not saying Louisville will win a rematch, but they will not play to lose next time. Go CARDS and go Big East - Good luck Huskies too.

What are the Cards going to do better next time? Get taller? Jump higher. PC "took it to Thabeet" and lost by 30. And UL's best player shot out of his mind. No guarantee he shoots as well next time.

Thanks for the well-wishes, but if you had seen the UCONN - Providence game a few days earlier, you'd change your mind about that. Providence, who always gives UCONN fits (they won at UCONN last year) spent the entire game relentlessly "taking it to" Thabeet and Adrien. The result was 10 blocks for Thabeet and a triple-double. Adrien scored 18 points (I think.)

Longtime Cards fan here, UConn was infinitely better. We only shot 2 free throws and it was in no way the refs fault. UConn if very solid at every position. UL is better than they showed but UConn is still the superior team. Hopefully we will get another chance in the Garden

What's up thetruth? This first game was a learning game for all our big men, who just happen to be FRESHMEN!, duh, lol, oh don't worry we'll be back and we'll kick UCONN'S butt next time. You kind of caught us on a bad day, however next time, the best coach in college basketball will be better prepared. You have to remember we played Saturday night and then had to play #1 on Monday Night, I'm not making excuses, but we really didn't have enough time to propare for UCONN, after beating WV. I tell you what truth. Lets see who wins the Big East. We'll beat Marquette in a few weeks and then be tied with UCONN. Don't slip in March my friend, C ya in the Big East Tournament...CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH! LOL, STAY WARM...

Next time they'll play smarter. You saw our best player hit 26, and Clark was off that night. However, our freshmen centers were intimidated, no doubt, but the next time will be different. We're not PC, we're the Cardinals, the siblings of the Doctors of Dunk Fame and we will be back. Whose PC? Please, we will still win the Big East!!! Going Away..

UConn came to play last night. But UL certainly didn't give their best effort. Pitino made some questionable decisions, like benching T-Will for the last 4 min of the 1st half, when UConn made that 12-2 run. And not benching Earl Clark a little more when he was clearly having an off night, again.

Thabeet was impressive though. He's improved from last year. Even made that jump shot. And Adrien played tough.

I hope we see you guys in the BE tourney finals to get a chance to redeem ourselves. But for now, hats off to UConn, men and women.
