sit your ignorant self on the bench, collect your 23 million, and shut up. If you were a man, you'd go in and play just out of spite and hatred for D'antoni alone. How can he say D'antoni was hurting him and not trying to help him.....some balls......why should the Knicks help you? Like you helped us by ditching the team out west last year and coming home by yourself? Or maybe taking the rest of the season off after your father passed away? Or maybe it was banging an intern in your car and adding fuel to the sexual harrassment case? Yeah, we helped you just like you helped us Starbury. This guy is a cancer.....and has he really EVER been good? Honestly, ever??? You're a professional player, Donnie Walsh said it best the other day.....as a professional, you have a contract. That contract doesn't say that you will play any guaranteed amount of playing time, heck it doesn't even say that you will get ANY playing time....but what it does say is that your services have been contracted by a business, and you're obligated to provide those services when called upon. It doesn't matter if you don't feel like playing, or whether you like the coach.....you play when you're shoulder gets the tap, b/c you're a professional. Or are you? Oh yeah, nice tatoo!

Good post.. Marbury is a disgrace and can cry all he wants.. it was okay a year ago when him and thomas told the rest of the team to go F____ themselves because the rules don't apply to Stephie.. what goes around comes around..

This is a very rare occurrence. A player like Marbury who for years has disrespected teammates, coaches and fans gets his just due. Very rare.

If you're in great health, relatively good looking, have not had to work for a living in months and are about to receive the better part of $21.9 million, then you don't have much right to complain about stuff.

Agreed?

Too bad Plax didn't shoot Crybury. It would have taken both of these self-centered, over-paid, cancers off our hands.

The thing I find strangest about this saga is that Steph is the 2nd highest player in the league, making 21 M, only under Garnett's 24 M. Iver son makes the same amount as Starbury, and he makes more than:
Jason Kidd 21 M
Jerm O'neill 21 M
KOBE 21 m
Tracy M 21 M
Tim Duncan 20 M
Shaq 20 M
Dirk 18 M
Paul Pierce 18 M
Vince Carter 15 M
Yao Ming 15 M
Amare S 15 M
Chris bosh 14 M
Dwayne Wade 14 M
Carmelo 14 M
Lebron 14 M

He is no where near an elite player, yet he's the 2nd highest player in the game.

Sounds to me like Marbury's getting frustrated, LOL, GOOD!
Now you know how the fans have felt since you've gotten here Deu-che BAG!

Sit there and rot for all I care. You're career is over. Any thought any other team had of picking you up after next season just vanished with this latest tirade. SEE YA!
Looks like it's the eurpoean league for you.

Marbury just doesn't get it....how many times does he use the word "me" or talks about "himself"...his idea of a teammate is - go stand there and I'll pass you the ball...maybe....

He is a thug..a punk..I remember the day he signed to go to college..crying about how the school and coach had better take care if him...its all about him not the team BYE-BYE Punk

You just don't understand the financial shrewdness of Jimmy (Fredo) Dolan.

People should remember this the next time they pay their cable tv bill.

Me too! It's great to see ignorance and arrogance collide, what a show. All of those fans who have a monetary or emotional investment in players or teams are the real jerks, paying the way for thugs to be thugs, BRILLIANT!

Great post. That is totally ridicluous and shows what clueless morons Thomas and Dolan are.. only these two dopes would give a selfish loser like Marbury that kind of money.. now he's crying he's disrespected, good!! now he knows how all his teammates felt about his selfish whiney behavior on EVERY team he ever played on. But good things are ahead for the Knicks because every team that got rid of Starburied improved once he was gone..

He got what he deserved. He has thought himself untouchable and not subject to rules for years. He and Thomas should be banned from NY for life.

Despite all the negative posts, Marbury does a lot for underprivileged children. For that alone, he deserves some respect.

He was told not to play and now when they need him, he is expected to just play. I don't think so. The Knicks screwed this up themselves.

Give the guy a chance to play somewhere else so he can bury the Knicks.

once you look pass all the emotional and often ignorant, responses you have to admit that most of what Marbury says is TRUE. In the preseason Marbury averaged 20 minutes per game. Unlike Curry and Jerome James he came in shape and ready tomplay in the new system. Also while Crawford and Duhon struggled until the last pre-season game, MArbury was easily the Knicks best guard. THen the season starts and Crawford and Zach are allowed to star (just to increase their trade value), while the ONE guy that they supposedly HAD to trade gets DNP's all season. Since Marbury played barely 30 games last year it's does not sound like a plan to get someone to trade for him. It sounds, like Marbury stated, that the plan was to humiliate hime until he snapped and gave them a reason to void the contract. unfortunately many like to be told who to hate and they look no further

Allen Houston was in the top 10 until HIS 10 year contract came off the books.(he played 2 full seasons). but Houston goes to church so that was okay..
