I don't love the flow on the court when Marbury plays. He scores high, but the rest of the team stays low when Marbury keeps it slow.

I don't think Marbury is generating good will by not accepting a buyout at less than his contractual salary. But why should he even try? It won't change his rep. Would you agree to forfeit a few million or even a few hundred thousand from someone you are not so thrilled with and dissed you? I don't think so.

Both MSG and Marbury have demonstrated why the Knicks have become such a dis-functional team.
MSG - were not straight up with their communication with Marbury preseason and heading into camp.
Marbury - has suggested that he will become team player on a couple of occasions, only to demonstrate that he is incapable of doing so once the team does not significantly improve (I might as well get mine if this team is going to lose anyways). So he did not get benefit of the doubt when he said he would work to fit into new system. His refusal (or inability) to negotiate something with another team so that the Knicks can save some dollars off the budget contributes to the impression that the guy is single minded in being a make the money thru stats and not wins type player.
Neither side is right and it's a shame as the City was excited at the prospect of Marbury coming here those seemingly many years ago. It never worked out and this is yet another stop in Marbury's career where he will leave a team and they will undoubtedly improve their record without him. It is hard to put a bullet proof description to this as Marbury does score and pass the ball as well as most point guards in the NBA and better than most on his good nights. Yet somehow he does not lead teams to wins and playoffs. Easy to say that the players around him were the problem until they go on do better things without him. ODD.

Marbury is staying in shape by working out with his personal therapist.

Let Steph sit out the season! He still wants almost all of his salary while playing for the Celtics? How dumb is that? If he wants to play ball, he can do better than that!

Tiffany....NO ONE wants him. The Knicks don't want him because he is a selfish player.
The Knicks would LOVE to trade him to the Celtics, or ANYONE on the planet, but no one wants him!

My prediction is: he'll be a Harlem globetrotter next year
