So much for justice!! The court extorts some monies. As to 'community service' what a waste of everyone's time. Why not something constructive like: picking up litter, etc.
Running his uneducated mouth at some community center accomplishes nothing except embarrass the speaker and his lack of education. The only good thing is that his attorney extracts some monies which will be better spent.

Here is a great plan.

Do not illegally carry a firearm.

Do not Go to strip clubs.

Do not hang out with people who break the law.

Then you will not be around thugs most of you life.

I'm not a racist, bigot, or jealous. I could be Tibetan with more money than God, it doesn't change the fact that if I shot a gun into the air randomly (when it was against the terms of my probation to carry a weapon) I would be a giant effing a-hole. This isn't a black-white thing. It is a stupidity thing (and Jackson is the stupid douche in this scenario).

The carrying of fire arms by this segment of the community is a fashionable one to them. By letting Mr. Jackson off with a slap of the hand will no doubt send the message to the rest of the gun toting clubbers to continue with no regard to real penalty to breaking the law. God help our police force!
You can rest assure if they think for one minute that they will get off as easy as Jackson did, they are in for a huge suprise. Money talks regardless of race, that's just the fact.

OK, I've figured you out- you're Steve Jackson!

Steve, you could spend less time defending yourself on internet forums if you spent more time thinking through life-changing decisions before you made them.

Some one please tell me, is his attorney the same person that got in some trouble a few years back, he and his girl friend was taking moneies from the child support division. Instead of sending the money to the children they were taking it for themselves. Please somebody, correct me if I am wrong.

Did you just learnt he word ilk today? You have used it a few times, poorly, and the rest of your vocab is pretty basic. Stop trying to impress us because you only look stupid in the stupid. Stupid always shines through, that's why Stephen Jackson always ends up on the front of the paper.

of course, thats why he went to his car, got a gun, and started shooting it BEFORE he was hit by the driver in the car. He could have just as easily (More easily actually) pulled out his keys and drove off - bypassing the whole incident. Good riddance to him

If this had been you or me John Q. Public, we would have spent jail time. But even a mediocre NBA thug gets preferential treatment in the court system.

Every time you buy an NBA game ticket, watch a game on TV, or buy some NBA merchandise, you are helping to put money in the pockets of morons like Stephen Jackson, Ron Artest, etc.

If you don't like them, then stop giving them your money. Go support some other sports team like Butler, IUPUI, U of I, etc. The only way the NBA will change is if their funding source starts to dry up. You all are their funding source.

Stop paying these jackoffs - or STFU.
