Tinsley is behaving the way he does because Bird and Carlisle have set the tone for the entire team. They want thugs and rebels on the team so they shouldn't be too surprised when no one on the team cares about the rules.

Until we dump Bird and Carlisle, we will continue to have stories like these in the paper every week.

Get rid of him, he is a selfish thug!!! How many incidents will it take for the management to understand this!

The great state of Indiana is just taking their turn.(But we have a nice fieldhouse). The Pacers are like the Knicks, Bulls, 76ers and the Celtics. All teams go thru this because of the lack of good, top draft picks. Some teams survive, due to talented trading policies. Seems to me the Pacers just can't seem to find that talent. That can mean only one thing. Management. It's been two years now since the departure of Reggie Miller. Two years without a franchise type player, or hero. O'Neal isn't even close to that status...even though he might think he is.

Everyone should know, the Pacers are going to survive. Attendance may be down for a few years, but we will return...maybe better than ever. So, take the past good years with the now-a-days...not so good. There's no chance of getting Greg Oden or Kevin Durant. Our management top dogs need to concentrate on the free agency market and more of the Danny Granger lucky draft strikes. I personally get tired of reading about thugs and criminals all the time. How would you play if you read these articles every day...and most of them are aimed directly at you?

My big problem is, I'm beginning to think like all of you guys and gals. And I'm not sure I like what I'm feeling.

Just sit Tinsley on the bench. He doesn't even get in for garbage time. I know it's a waste of money, but at least it would cut out 3 hours of his clubbing time 82 nights a year. Maybe he'd get fed up and quit.

In my opinion there is absolutely no comparison between Mike Brown and Carlisle. Brown is an excellent coach and doing a very good job, his players enjoy playing for him and try hard. Tinsley has never exhibited character since he has been here. Why he is still here is a big question. I am sure the Simon brothers could use a big tax write off so buy his contract and forget it. Even O'Neal does not have the potential as a leader, it has been proven. Last night the game was enjoyable. The guys who were playing, tried very hard and got great applause from the few who were in attendance. The atmosphere is totally different without Tinsley and O'Neal. I think it could be even better getting rid of Carlisle. Reggie it was great to see and talk with you at the game. The problems are many just as they were 2 years ago.

I think that it is well past time to trade Tinsley. I was one of those who said "let's give him a chance to develop", but he has gone the wrong direction. He is headed to the scrapheap of also-ran NBA players who don't have a life after basketball, unless he finds a way to get it together. It looks like Indiana is the wrong place for him to get it together, although one would think the opposite. I say good-bye and let's get a kid who can play without the baggage.

Larry Byrd once said "after three years players stop listening to their coaches" that is why he stepped down. We have changed players not it is time to look at the coaching situation.

I think it is time the Pacers front office decides to make this team a class act like our Colts. I feel the Pacers are basically a bunch of hoods. The new members seem to be a better caliber, we shoudl cut the trouble makers.

trade him??? nobody wants him or it would have been done. Contract until 2011?? That is management's problem. Oden?? I doubt he wants to play here. Durant?? see above. Nope we are stuck with a PG who seems to have no clue. He's late because he can be. If it has been "several times" why not a punishment the second or third time. All of us normal folks have obligations and many have a time-clock that is punched in. We are docked pay and or get written up for excessive tardiness. ahhh the life of a superstar. I have found myself to the point where I don't even know when the Pacers play anymore. I am sorry for the organization that I followed from the day I could understand the game of Basketball (I am 41 years old) Reggie graduated from UCLA the same year I graduated from Manchester College. "Who the hell is Reggie Miller?" I thought then. The Pacers have only one player worth his contract right now and that is Danny Granger. Rick has lost the team. Larry has lost the team. Donnie Walsh has lost the team. The only people who seem to be hurting over all of this are us sorry-arsed fans who continue to read, post, and talk about our team. I used to know the schedule by memory, at least on a weekly basis. I knew when they played and where they played. My wife knew I was going to watch them on TV and on the rare occasion down at Market Square and then Conseco. Can't muster the energy to do it anymore. Danny G. and some of the others deserve my support, and I feel bad about that. But I cannot find myself interested enough to spend time supporting the rest of the gang. Sorry for rambling!!

Let's not give up on the whole team because of one guy. I have never cared for Tinsley. We do need a Point Guard.
Go Pacers.
One guy? This isn't about Tinsley, this is about a team that has made one horrible decision after another for the past several years. Tinsley is just another reminder. When he's gone, there will definitely be someone to take his place.

I got news for you. He already quit. Now he's just collecting a check. And really what good would it do to just cut him and let him keep collecting a check. It wouldn't hurt his feelings one bit to be cut and have all the money and time while he's still young. The guy has no pride. Look at how he's shit on his team and his fans.

<quoted text>Its just a matter of time until he breaks that contract or demands to be traded. Hold on folks this going to be interesting.
Demand to be traded? I got news for you, players only demand to be traded when they know other teams want them. If there are any teams outside the developemental league that want Tinsley it's gotta be a pretty short list. Little talent and even less character -- not a very marketable mix...except in Indiana. No, to get rid of Tinsley we are going to have to once again give up something near and dear in a package and at the same time take somebody else's problems in the bargain. It's not going to get interesting, its just going to get more depressing.

This city is disgustingly full of arrogant, hateful, stuck up people. Everybody wants to say these "thugs" on the pacers are making the city look bad, when in reality it's the ignorant people that leave comments degrading the character of these players. Watch the game and shut up!!!

And this comment coming from Washington DC, a city that knows something about arrogant, hateful, stuck up people. Look, pal, if you arent' from here, you just don't understand the situation so stay on the sidelines. Our position is, a player has to have some character before it can be degraded.
