Now that White is gone lets go out and sign Jalen Rose, the Knicks just released him. I believe he can help the Pacers. It looks like Ishah ran him out of town twice once with the Pacers and now with the Knicks. Come on Larry and Donny go out and sign Jalen Rose.

Umm ... Ok, I'm a little confused. We go out of our way to trade up and get White, we make a big deal about how he easily could have been picked in the top 20, we make a big deal about how Williams and he are the future of the Pacers, we sign him to a two year guaranteed deal, and ... we cut him. Not trade, but cut. Umm ... then, after we cut him, the coaching staff says that he is going to be an awesome NBA player. Hmm ... with all of the recent shinanigans we've put up with the last couple of years, wouldn't you want to keep this guy to build on, and release some of the idiots that are tearing the organization down? Just a thought. You watch; this is going to backfire on us. White is going to turn into an elite NBA guard, and, while watching S. Jackson poorly try to imitate Reggie Miller on the 'Hanging with Mr. Cooper' episode, Pacer fans everywhere will be left wondering, "why?"

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at Dann's suggestion. Acquiring Jalen Rose is quite possibly the worst move the Pacers could make at this point. That is a terrible idea...I think you must be a Knicks fan and just want to see the Pacers deal with the Jalen headache again.

Sometimes,I think teams draft players that they think will fit in their system, when they get the player they realize the player doesn't fit their needs.

Well, if you think Jackson meets our needs, that is what wrong with this whole organization. I am tired of watching his on the court crying and now he is shooting up the westside instead of the basketball court. I will never pay to see this team play again!!!!!!

I guess my boycott of the Pacers & Simon Malls will continue.
Jackson should have been cut, White had tons of potential.
Get bent Pacers.

I hear Dennis Rodman was looking for a place to play. We can dress everybody up in clown shoes and big red noses and charge more to see the Pro Athete Clown Show. This truly will be the greatest Show on Earth!!!

I hope that Donnie Walsh and Larry Bird read these comments too!
I don't see any logic in cutting James White;I was looking forward to see him play this season.

Once again, the Pacers are going to fall short this season. They released a potential player and kept an incompetant one in Tinsley.

I agree with Brett, b-town and the other sane people in this forum, dumping White and keeping Jackson is ludicrous.

Stephen Jackson is a poor imitation of a shooting guard with his average ball-handling skills, poor decision-making and a non-existent work ethic. And that's before we factor in his extra-curricular activities and the bad attitude.

Needless to say I won't be placing my name on the Pacers season ticket-holders waiting list... If there is one after this season.

Let's see, White was worthy of a first round pick. Well, not exactly, so let's cut him. Serunis (or however you spell it) was the second coming. Yeah, right. Jackson is better than Al Harrington. NOT!!! Ok, at least Bird admitted fault and brought him back.
Drafted Bender with the #5 pick. Drafted Croshere with a #10 pick.
Said, "let's pay Jeff Foster and Not Brad Miller.
Traded Artest for ???? Yeah, that's right, that guy is gone too...
Are we seeing a pattern yet?!? Time to cut Bird. He is a great B-ball player, but a terrible GM.

I think some people need to spend some time learning about salary caps, guaranteed contracts and the free agent system and less time complaining. A GMs hands are often tied by money issues - they had to let Miller and Harrington go because there wasn't enough money or minutes for them. Giving Croshere $40+ million was horrible though. Letting Tinsley and Jackson go would leave them with around $50 owed to two players not even on the roster. That would be a great move wouldn't it?

And to add another element to the conversation, what does this do to the reputation of the front office of this team? One more bad decision after bad decision in the draft and free agency. Goofs like keeping "bad knee" bender over Baby AL, the high priced contract of Austin Croshere, losing Brad Miller, choosing to trade Artest only to get Peja. What else does S. Jackson need to do, before the front office realizes they had a chance to keep a hungry kid in White, over a fat-rat like Jackson.
