I have been a Pacer fan since they ABA days, and i haven't been ashamed to say "ya I'm a Pacer fan!" but these last couple of years have been hard to accept the fact that the Pacers and other NBA teams let these "thug" players get off easy with their on and off the court unacceptiable behavior. Jackson gets a 1 game suspendion for fighting and shooting his gun in the wee hours of the morning at a strip club? that is a total joke! he keeps getting in trouble and he keeps getting off lightly! Not only is it time for owners, but Stern too to weed out these thugs for the NBA! The Pacers need to get rid of Jackson cause he's a thug and always will be a thug!

Is S. Jackson that big of a Star in Indy that he needs a personel bodyguard. The reason he needs one is because he visit's places that are not so safe. If he goes to the mall does he need one? Reggie, Fleming, both Davis's, Smits used to run around town by themselves. He is not even in those guys league. Lose the guy, Donnie!

Guess I'm in for the long haul. I was told by a friend one day a long time ago..."Your either with me, or against me." Well I'm not going to turn against my Indiana Pacers, and Stephen Jackson and Jamall Tinsley are part of those Pacers. Starting tonight, I'm with you guys, all the way. No more comments to the IndyStar speaking against SJ and JT. I'm 100% for you guys from this point forward.

And I've got this to say as well. Mr. Larry Bird, I'm with you too...all the way. Get us to the playoffs and bring home a championship.

The Indiana Pacers need a fan base that's willing to except these players, or it's going to be a really long season. I might be the only person out of the half million fans that have these kind of feelings, BUT THAT'S MY STORY, AND I'M STICKING TO IT.

Remembering back in the late 40's and early 50's ... our Indianapolis Olympians. What a team they had. It kind of devistated the city when they folded because of the --point shaving scandle. Alex Groza, Ralph Beard, and WahWah Jones. What a team. Very competitive and what wonderful players came to our city of Indianapolis to play at our Butler fieldhouse. Those were good days...before the scandle. I was just a kid, and loosing the Olympians broke my heart...but it made a professional basketball fan out of me. I was probably the happiest person in the world in 1967 when the Pacers came to town. I would sure hate to see our Pacers go down the tubes and move to Louisville, or GOD knows where. But the lack of fan support can cause that. What would happen to our banners, hanging in our rafters if that happened. Where would our Reggie Miller's #31 jersey end up.

I'm just spouting off. I should be in bed this time of morning. But, I just want everyone in our state of Indiana to "LOVE OUR BOYS...OUR PACERS"........

He might win back the few fans he had to begin with. I'm glad Pacer games are on Fox Midwest Sports only now so I won't be tempted to surf by a game and stop to check it out. Signed, Former Pacer Fan.

Mr. Jackson is a fine young man. But, he must be careful in the choices he makes in anything he does. With the public always looking at you with a magnifyer, you just have to be careful. All this must have been explained to him in the beginning of his career, and perhaps he lost focus.
Good luck, and Go Pacers!!!

The majority of Pacer fans only get to see the public side of Jackson and sadly it is not the kind of representative I want for the team I have supported. If he's different off the court than on, which side are we to believe is authentic.

I use to get excited about the beginning of a new season but now I really don't care. Winning isn't everything if your reputation suffers in the process.

of course the Pacers can win back the fans. All they have to do is play ball, WIN, and stay out the newspapers for dubious deeds.
Above all, play hard and win. If they don't the average fan like myself won't care about them just as I don't now. But it is football season. They need to look at the Colts example of Dungy, Harrison, Wayne, etc. these guys don't show up in the papers much. They just play ball, win, and keep out of trouble.

No, I have never like the way acts on court, he has a very p___y attitude. I think he is just a thug. As far as is off court c__p that is his personal time and not anyones business.

I am no longer a Pacers Fan. It's not about Jackson, it's about a pattern that Jackson fits, just like Artest. The fans knew Artest type players like Jackson would take down the team. Larry Bird has been in basketball long enough to see what he was dealing with but team management made poor judgements. The Pacers are doing for basketball what Don King did to boxing.

As a nonPacer fan (not originally from Indy) I think it is funny to see anyone but family and friends come to this guys defense.

He has serious issues, beyond Ron-Ron issues, he left the streets, but he didn't. He is part of generation CRED. He lives in Carmel and needs a gun? He said that only god's oppinion matters (or something to that effect)- well, I went to Catholic school for 8 years and I don't think god appreciates guys who have weapons, go to strip clubs, take part in brawls, etc... but then again I am no longer religious, so maybe things have changed with god.

To those who defend him, to each your own... but if by chance one of his stray bullets hit someone you love, would you still cheer for him?

The Pacers are a bunch of thugs. I have lost interest in them as a team. With each arrest, shooting, and fight I care about them less and less.

The man's human. Isn't this whole thing a bit blown out of proportion? It could be a lot worse, he could be a politician.

Good luck Steve!
