This article has explained this situation right down to the knitty gritty. Something needs to be done imediately, why should the fans support all this violence? They make too much money and think they are "Untouchable", are they??? A little jail time is in order like any other THUG!

Thats the problem with the head office of the Pacers. They have no boundries. These players are supose to be role models, instead they come across as nothing more then a bunch of thugs hanging out to the wee hours of the morning at bars and constantly getting caught up doing stupid things. The Fan base has deminished over the last couple of years. I complete overhaul of the entire front office an certain players is desparetly needed. Rules must be in place. Players should be fined by the team if they break those rules.

A family of four going to a Pacer game will spend about $120, including the price of lower-range tickets. A game usually lasts three hours. That's $40 an hour you're paying the Pacers to entertain you. $40 an hour to watch players that don't care half the time. Sounds like a bad investment to me.

Not again.......Just how many smarts
does it take to learn from past actions of the players.
Get tuff. How about some players with class and some accountability
and role models for our young ball
players and fans.
We have been Pacer fans for some time but getting some reservations
about this team. Maybe you need to
get Reggie back to run this team
and teach some smarts on and off the
court..........Let the bad boys
work in the homeless shelter or
a home mission. Think of others
not self all the time. Reach out
to give a helping hand to Salvation
army. Do some good..........
Now just why would one want to go
to a bar????????no class!tunnel vision on self???????? It is not
about you guy it is about the team
and fans. Get a life!

The Pacers OWNED this town. then they shipped Jalen Rose to Chicago to acquire Artest, and it has all gone down the toilet.

Send them to Oklahoma City; the Colts are all this city needs.

Why would we want to punish poor Oklahoma City?

The problem does not lye solely on managements shoulders, don't forget these players are part of a union. And just like in the automotive unions these players are very difficult to fire. Furthermore as long as we as taxpaying american consumers, continue to allow celeberties and the rich and famous to get away with whatever they want then these problems will continue.

Anyother citizen making far less in our paycheck would have been arrested, placed in handcuffs and taken to jail. Why are there separate rules/laws for a basketball player? Just because they have the talent to play a GAME of basketball shouldn't mean that they are above the law. Stop protecting them and make them accountable for their actions just as anyone else!!!

You've got players who think they above reproach - the Simons need to change the name to the Marion County Thugs. That way no one will associate the Thugs with the Great State of Indiana.

Either get rid of the trouble makers or Simon should sell the team to some other state and let them try to correct the problems. Maybe our Governor can lease them to some other state or country!!!!!

ease up on the pacer's. they're people just like everybody else. you know, they shouldn't have done what they did but just because they're somewhat famous doesn't mean everybody should jump at the chance to criticize them.

Suggestion - if you want to send a real message to management - stay at home for at least one game. Even if you have season tickets get together amongst yourselves and choose a particular game, inform management of your action and then stay home for at least one game.
It's all about money - the fans give their money to the owner who gives it to the players. W/O the fans the money flow stops and the whole thing slows to a halt - FAST.

As long as the suckers keep buying it does anyone honestly think that anyone is going to clean up their act?

To put it in blunt terms - people will s*** on you only as long as you let them, leading to the question - how long will you let them?

BTW - The TV show -'Closer to Home' on CBS at 8 on Fridays is outstanding.

That's why I go to high school games. It's a whole lot cheaper, the players appreciate it, no chance of franchise moving, etc...
