Wow, four free agents that couldn't even start on an NBDL team.... Pacers are sure making a splash this off season.
With no cap room and some very bad decision-making in the past 16 month or so (regarding personnel), this team is in for a few long years ahead. We've gone from Donnie being one of the best GM's around to know, well, certainly not one of the best.
I'm just glad we didn't re-sign Maceo - 4 million for this guy - come on....

3 years for how much??? You know, this is probably okay. It will take at least three years to recover from the last two...maybe somebody is actually beginning to think ahead/plan in realistic terms. But otherwise, is there a more direction-less franchise out there????

Yo Homies!
Pacers just need a warm body who can shot the 3's. They are building their game to focus on the PF, SF, & SG spots as their primary focus while spreading the offense to create better fast-break players. This new addition was brought in to allow the stretch to occur and I think this next season is going to be very interesting. Everyone likes to count out the Pacers, but the NBA is a puzzle where you have to put certain pieces together and not look at the overall star caliber of a particular group of players. Also, we are in a bad position over salary cap space and the team just doesn't have any options with players that are not marketable for other teams--or other teams trying to get a sweater deal with our best player in JO.

People just like to complain. I guess we are suppose to contend for a championship year in and year out forever..lol. The Pacers are the only club that is not allowed to ever retool and find the right team.

Pacer roster has sunk to the level of the Kings, Sixers, and Hornets. Now there's some lottery magic.

Why sign this kid for 3 years? No other team wanted him and he is most likely going to wash out. Since no other team wanted him why not make it a one year deal and see how he works out? Larry Bird can not help himself. He loves throwing money and years at players that do not deserve it.

Always liked Diener in college. He is a high-energy guy, too, which the Pacers can certainly use!

And just who did you expect them to go get? Would all of you quit whining if the Pacers just signed last year's East All Star squad? Be realistic. If you don't like the team then go root for Cleveland. You won't be missed.

Baston needed minutes to establish his game at this level. He can block shots. The former coach would not give him a opportunity.

I've seen worse era's in Pacer history. I'm not astute enough to know and judge marginal players impact on a franchise. But remember past acquisitions that helped move the franchise forward. I can name several. Workman, T. Davis, Sam Mitchel, M. Williams, etc. I'm hoping that the recent acquisitions fit O'Brien's system.

He seems to be a better teacher/communicator than Carlisle.

Daily Horoscope for June 20

Taurus

Don't believe everything you hear because someone is talking through their hat. They may have got the wrong end of the stick, even if they won't admit it. Alternatively, they might be trying to deceive you in some way, in which case they most certainly won't want to own up. So trust your instincts and listen out for any remarks that set your alarm bells ringing.
