Where's Dicky V? Oh, that's right, this isn't Hansbrough, Duke or North Carolina. This guy and Beasly are 2 of the top players in the college game, why can't he talk non-stop about them, instead of the acc coaches?

Post #2 says the Midwest considers "education more important than sports success."
Right! Ohio State has top 10 football and basketball teams most years. About 90% of the players on those teams could not be accepted at Davidson or Duke - for academic reasons... Give Davidson its due: 1,500 students at an academically rigorous private school with "relatively small" players who are having a great time.

My priorities are Illini football and basketball. It's more fun to follow than the cost of tuition.

I was at the two games last night in Ford Field and will be back on Sunday. Davidson looked very strong, good D, patience offense. The Badgers drove to the bucket like a Chedderhead overloaded with 2 brats, 3 beers, and a basket of fried cheese curds. Both the Davidson/WI game and Kansas/Nova game were blowouts. Should be interesting to see how Davidson plays the very tall Kansas team on Sunday.
Flash - Everything I read has Davidson college size at approx 1700 students. The Detroit crowd game King James a sound booing- too funny.

Heck, half the kids on campus must be athletes to field all of their teams. That was a good team last night that beat Wisconsin. It would have been worse if they hadn't started stalling in the last couple of minutes. Curry was virtually unstoppable and his teammates excel at getting him open and scoring themselves when the defense keys up on him...

So how does the fact that Davidson ranks in the top 20 in all academic categories (SAT and GPA of incoming freshmen,# of Fullbright/Rhodes Scholars,% of graduates, etc.) sit with your little theory? Could it be that a Big Ten fan didn't do his homework before opening his mouth?
