If you're referring to "38th street", that's someone wanting to goof off for a laugh. As far as everyone else, I think "Alison" got it right when she stated that a black man being pulled over for expired plates in a predominately black area was not an example of profiling. If so, I was a victim of profiling a few years back. The plates on my Volvo wagon were a few days past the expiration date and I was pulled over, given a ticket, and a stern lecture at 34th and College. I'm a white chick with environmentist stickers all over her car. Hmmmmmmm....Maybe the officer smelled the patchouli oil and vitamins and thought it was weed. The peace symbol and my Birkenstocks probably didn't help the situation, either. Back to your comment....I'm afraid some of the people posting on here don't get what racial profiling is and is not. Hopefully they've educated themselves to what it constitutes, after all, they obviously have access to the internet and therefore to an online dictionary, or at the lowest level; Wikipedia. It'll remain to be seen.

as a former teacher im shocked at what u say. as a teacher u should know that there is no such thing as a bad child it the up bringing. i was born and raised in chicago and i can tell u due to different reason such as money or per capita income suburban schools were newer larger and better prepared than inner city schools. they have a better atheletic program and tons of options and resources for students to use in order to expand their horizons. the kids themselves are droped off and picked up and all the have to worry about is school. in the city lack off money affects everything u do from the moment u wake up. most inner city youth skip breakfast struggle for transportation public or private. strugle for new clothes. the stress in the home is high because of bills which help cause bad relationships. bad choices are made and the need to have cash now and not the luxury of mom and dad in a secure finacial and emotional home provide for them is dominant. new car clothes house and etc become the focus because that is what they never had.<quoted text>
Nothing personal but I can see why you are no longer a teacher based on your last 2 posts. Regardless, this post replied to is nothing but an excuse for failure.

Dear Larry,
Please get rid of this guy. Fire HIM! You have given him two chances and he cannot or will not stay away from people who are criminals and it is about time you decided to make an example of him. We can't have players take our hard earned money and then act like this. The money you pay him comes from the fans and they work hard for that money. He does nothing but disrespect the team and the fans.... Give him Das Boot!

Shawne really needs to grow up. His race has no bearing on his inability to make adult level decisions. He really has to lose this chip on the shoulder, me against the world, straight from the streets attitude. You may have had a bunch of struggles and every excuse to fail, but you've made it. If playing in the NBA was his dream, then he's got it. If he's going to be dumb enough to screw it up after all that hard work, let him go back to the streets and smoke his weed with his buddies. At least then he'll have an excuse to for being such a dumb***.
