this is huge. Now we are really deep in the PG position, not to mention, he could play the two also. Lets hope he stays healthy and comes in playing like he did on the Clippers

We didn't get to see many Clipper games here on the east coast; does anyone have a read on Livingston? Is he a playmaker? Will he be a good set up guy for Wade, Marion, Beasley? He's only 24, so he goes well with our youth but talented team we're building. Can some west coast fans tell me about this kid?

If he can regain his pre-injury form this a hell of a deal. LOTS of potential. People were comparing him to Magic before he had that nasty knee injury.

I saw his stat sheet in NBA.com and they show 44% FG, 23% 3-FG, 71% FT, 3 RPG, 4.8 APG and 2 TO/G.

For a kid who has started only 60 games, that sounds pretty good. Besides, they got him at bargain basement prices.

This guy was fantastic, but don't get your hopes up. He had a major knee injury, much worse than the usual knee injuries that happen to most atheletes. Chances are he won't play much, but maybe DWade knows something from the agent, maybe he's seen him in this comeback, but don't count on it, this guy's done.

Well am glad you know more than the coaching staff does.

since was a high schooler in 04, its basically like he is a rookie all over again. If he came out of college as a Sr, 08 would have been his rookie year. Even if he rested for a year, and he is normal after that, we would then have a 23 year old Deron williams/Chris Paul Type of player-----THIS IS HUGE GENTS-----If he is the old livingston, DWADE,MARION,BEASLEY,HASLEM, that is a terrific 5, with a solid bench (next year of course)

Its nice to know that the second year contains an option, but is it a player option or team option?

Who do you expect to be moved to get the Heat back under the lux? Cook for a TPE, maybe?

This is a great deal. Livingston can be compared favorably to Magic, The kid still has a long way to go but when he was on he was a 6-7 guard who could do it all. The first thing he has to do though is put on about 50 pounds, his light weight really hurts him

Riley lied again about Livingston being a dead issue just as he did with Shaq. When the media starts reporting it believe you me they've got the inside scoop. Riley be straight up with the fans they deserve to be told the truth and not lied to.

You people need to stop fooling yourselves, he's not the same player he was before the injury. What part of 3 torn ligaments and a dislocated knee cap don't you understand? He is a different player now.

This is a gamble, and this is also something having SoBe helps you guys with. If Miami wasn't the destination it was, and if you didn't have the players you do this trade would not have happened, he had other people courting him. He is a true talent, and even if he doesn't ever get back to form you still are exactly where you were a little bit a go, this is actually a no lose situation. He is young, and has potential, I am so excited for the heat, with Spo mixing up coaching, throwing in technology to make teaching more effective, with Riley focusing on his network and pulling in good talent, with Wade back to form, and may I say that I personally love Beasley-- i don't know how good he is, but he is as entertaining to listen to as Barkley. I absolutely love hearing him talk, what a character. This is the best time to be a heat fan ever, and it is fun that you are predicted to go to the finals in one simulation and other people have you winning 24 games. Don't you just love the wild card wonder you have going on there. Fun stuff, this will be an entertaining season and you just added one more wild card to the deck. I hope he turns out to be an ace in the hole.
