All quiet on Chicago Bulls front

On a day when the Shaquille O'Neal trade from the Suns to Cavaliers was finalized, the Nets agreed to trade Vince Carter to the Magic and Amare Stoudemire rumors surfaced anew, the Berto Center sounded awfully quiet early Thursday. Full Story

The Cavs pretty much stole Shaq since all Phoenix wanted was financial relief. Let's see if Shaq can make a difference in the 50 games he'll probably play due to his declining physical ability.

The Amare to Golden State deal may already be in place and their package that includes Curry, Wright, and the big center sounds better than any package the Bulls can put together!
As far as Chris Bosh, I know alot of Bulls fans want him but to me he lacks toughness. Some may even call him overrated! I know he is an All Star but he shys away from physical play! I would take him but I would not break the bank to get him! Just my opinion!!!
Great point about the overrated, freakish looking Bosh!

Bulls aren't doing anything but trying to convince the fans they will be ready for the class of 2010. It will play out just like before when Duncan and McGrady laughed at us and TIM THOMAS turned us down to play off the bench in Milwaukee. Can't wait to see what Salmons does as a primary scoring threat with no one to take pressure off him.
I pray that the Bulls don't get spurned again like in 2000. Rose and Deng need to STEP IT UP if the Bulls hope to sign a major free agent come 2010. What I wish they would do is Trade for Bosh and convince him to sign a max deal as soon as the league allows they to negociate. Another impactful big doesn't seem to be in there future anytime soon with Amare being almost traded.

Why was it a steal? The idea of Shaq negating Howard is laughable. He will clog the lane, making it tougher on James to barrel into the paint and get cheap fouls called. Z could step out and hit a shot off of James penetration. Shaq will stymie the offense just like he did for the Suns. I am glad the Cavs picked him up. Orlando is now the team to beat. If Turk stays they can beat you from every position on the floor now.

I dont know...Shaq didnt seem to clog the lane with D-Wade and Kobe. Turk is not going to stay, for starters...and you would have to say that a team that won 66 games last year and added an 15 year all star coming off a year where he was 18, 8 makes them the team to beat.

It hurts to think we are in a desperate search of a big man but traded away the two all star bigs we did have. Does a person really have to be a so-called gm caliber individual to realize trading Artest and Miller or Brand while bringing back Jalen Rose or the rights to a player who turned out to be Tyson Chandler is a bad move? Three all stars for nothing. Between Pax. Garfunkel and the Krause, even Kevin Mchale has to be wondering what they are thinkins sometimes.

Shaq gives them an inside scoring option when Lebron is off the floor or having a bad game.

Steve - Shaq was in better shape when he played with Kobe and Wade. The year they got sweeped by the Bulls was the year Shaq was no longer Shaq.

You can't compare 2000 - 2005 Shaq to 2009 Shaq. 15 year all star sounds good on paper, then you realize it is a 350 lb center who might not have a decent season left in him. We shall see about Turk.
In the playoffs for Miami, Mourning did the heavy lifting inside while Wade went nutz. Cleveland couldn't defend the pick and roll. Shaq couldn't defend the pick and roll when he was 30 and in shape. He is also going to cost 20 mil. Cleveland is just desperate. If LBJ doesn't sign the extension on the first, he never will. imo

Chandler wasn't going to make it in Chicago. He and Skiles didn't mess and they weren't ready to get rid of the coach who got them back into the playoffs.

I think this was a decent draft for the bulls.I was hopingthat the bulls could have traded for Darko whom the knicks got. I think he has some potetial. How trading for Eddie Curry? Say what you want but he is a post presence.

Your defense of this mediocre mish mosh of players with the exception of Rose proves that you don't. Your momma raised a fool.

Darko is a bust. If he hasn't produced yet, he never will. Eddie Curry is one of the laziest basketball players in the league.

Did you not watch the games last season? THe Bulls handed Sefolosha a starting position and he stunk of the !@#$ing gym. He was the reason Gordon was moved back into the starting lineup. Sefolosha was dumped for more than he was worth. A supposed guard who couldn't dribble, shoot or pass is the guy you are wondering about????
Wrong again, Dre...
Keep trying, though.

The acquisition of Shaq just ended any shot Cleveland had of winning a title.
Shaq retired last season.

And you forget that no one in Chicago wants an **** player who only scores when "in the mood to do so".
You prefer the players that are motivated every nite to score 50, but dont have the length, strength or skill to do so, because that is what you have now in Hinrich, Thomases, BG, Noah, Miller. Probably, also, in Gibson.
