D-Wade is a great player and the team really needs him but at the same time so does his family. He needs to decide what is best for him and his family. I am a big MIAMI HEAT fan and love to watch him and Shaq and him and the entire HEAT team play together. I would love to see him back before the season ends but at the same time we have to be considerate of him and his health.

Stay out the rest of the year!!! Don't be foolish, don't ruin your career and live a life with a bum shoulder. Take a break, get surgery, and come back next year.

You guys seem to think that if he comes back he risks hurting his shoulder to the point it will impact him in the future. THAT ISN'T POSSIBLE!!!

If he does reinjure his shoulder, he gets shoulder surgery and it's fixed. Simple as that. If he doesn't, well, we have him back for the playoffs. The risk is low to nothing.

Are you a doctor? Could you give us some hard facts to back up your assertion that "if he does reinjure ... he gets shoulder surgery and it's fixed." Unfortunately our bodies are extremely complex and medical procedures are not that simple. I am no doctor but have dislocated both shoulders at various points of my life so I have experience.

The risk as a young person like Wade is that it will dislocate again further damaging the ligaments, tendons etc. The surgery will be much more complex with higher risks. An older person risks rotator cuff injury (as happened with me).

Do you really think that the Heat will be champions again even if Wade does come back? If not lets all be patient and look to a less troubled next season.

I would reverse your assessment:

Risk: HIGH
Benefit: VERY LOW

I am hoping Wade takes the best long term view and gets this thing delt with now!

D'WADE would be better off without surgery, LET the Shoulder HEAL NATURALLY.

Battier had nothing to do with it. Wade was in a bad position when he attempted a silly stop with his left arm. He was not in a power position to stop anyone. Hope he returns soon.

Wow, what a shame. What is the problem with the dislocation, is it like a concussion. Once you have it it happens easier the next time? What surgery is there to fix it? Anyone?

Hi D. Wade, you should take a good rest for the remainder of this year and have a surgey as soon as possible, then re-charge your power and your strong mind to come back next year to get the champion ship again. We all know you are extremely tough and the true warrior, but even that kinds of person needs to have a rest to get the victory when he or she gets injured. You know that MJ also missed his second year in NBA, but just missed! He has never ruined his career at all, and he became God finally. I strongly recomend you not to ruin your entire career instead of missing half of this year. And we all pray for your quick and complete recovery. We all love you, Wade.
