I don't know which is worse... the NFL or the NBA. Both seem like havens for criminals.

OJ Mayo is going to be a little bit more fun to watch than Kevin Love Child.

Hey Kevin, let's sign Joe Smith to a double secret contract. I heard he is out there still. Since we waste are draft picks anyway, we won't have to worry about Dave Stern's big stick.

God, what a criminal, possessing a hand gun.

Seriously, these athletes are targeted BY criminals, they are caught with these weapons on them which they use for protection. I'm sure 'Bassy just didn't want to end up shot, stabbed, mugged, or robbed like his peers Antoine Walker, Sean Taylor, and Derrant Williams.

Lay off the kid, he's getting scrutinized for carrying a handgun he should be allowed to carry in the first place... Do you people really have that much faith in our justice system that you think these gun laws are preventing REAL criminals from getting guns? If you truly do believe these laws are working, you're arrogant and naive to think so.

Telfair isn't a criminal, he grew up in one of the most notorious projects in the country, he's been mugged in NY, he has every reason being a rich young athlete with a familiar face to carry a form of protection... his form of protection being a hand gun.

But whatever, you all are going to hate anyways because of your bias views against the NBA. Hell, you're right, the NBA is predominantly black, what a bunch of criminals! Racist clowns.

All these laws are doing are preventing law-abiding citizens from acquiring a trustworthy form of protection. Criminals who will use these firearms will get their hands on them from the black market, it's just how it is. You're all hating on Telfair for doing something that I'm sure 80% of ALL professional athletes do (yes, ALL, including the NFL, MLB, and NHL).

I don't get it; 1 1/2 year delay to suspend him on a team he was not playing with during the incident.

100% agree with you. So what if Sebastian was carrying a handgun? He didn't commit any crimes with it, did he? He's a law abiding citizen who was just exercising his 2nd Amendment rights. I'd carry a handgun, too, if I grew up where he did. Actually, I carry a handgun everyday as part of my job as a military cop.

Anyway, on another note, if you really want criminals, I think the NFL beats the NBA in a landslide. OJ Simpson, Michael Vick, Pacman Jones, etc.
