David Kahn defends Wolves' roster moves

The Timberwolves' 10-game losing streak has not led to second thoughts from team president of basketball operations David Kahn about the possibility that he made too many offseason deals for salary cap reasons. Full Story

I take it most of you guys havent watched any games or really updated yourself with the team... had you guys actually done that you would know why we have a poor record right now. When a team is missing there two best players for a good chunk of the season and there third best player is a rookie point guard what were you guys expecting. Its like expecting the cavaliers to be great without lebron james and moe williams. sorry but its not gonna happen. Jeffereson is coming back from a bad injury which plagues a lot of athletes...im gonna give the man patience before i make any ridiculous comments..I wasnt expecting a winning team this year and for anyone who was is delusional. All i want to see this year is are team to build chemistry. Then next year land Cole aldrich and trade the rest of the picks for a big player.

don't play jefferson until he's close to 100 percent.
games where he gets 10 points and 4 boards just reduces his value.
is he ever going to be as good as he was before ?

should have sent him to clippers for kamen and change with draft pick owed forgiveness, like I said here quite a while back.

The roster moves are not the issue its the fact they keep running an offense that they have no personnel for. The triangle is fine if you have Micheal Jorden or Kobe Bryant on your team right? I dont see those players coming here anytime soon.
Plus I wish Rambis would stop treating these games as "practice." Im trying to show patience but dam this team is bad and unwatchable as it is atm. Im trying to hang in there really I am.
Good analysis. I think that about the triangle every TWolves game I watch. What is Corey Brewer gonna be the centerpeice of the triangle?

This team is horrendous to watch. If I had a nickel for every Ellington brick or Flynn turnover I think I'd be rich. If we're trying to improve, these guys need to get better, plain and simple. Flynn can do it. He has the physical tools. But Brewer and Ellington have no shot. Brewer get's knocked down by a hand check and Ellington is a college player who got lucky in the NCAA tourney(sound familiar...Brewer) and got picked in the draft because of it.

A perfect example of why this roster will never win is our games with Portland. That team has REAL athletes...long, fast guys who can shoot and defend. And they hardly try against us. Roy can take the night off basically, and we still get killed.

Keep Al, Love, Flynn, maybe Brewer for 1 more year to see if he can finally bulk up, and Sessions. Everyone else is above their head in the NBA or has a Bball IQ of 10.

Its easy for ourselves included(read that: Fans) to get sucked into the day-to-day disappointments. Oh, don't worry about it David. I am more than willing to pluck down my money to watch us increase our space under the salary cap. It's exciting. It's why we love the game.

Yes, the solution to everything for Kahn is always "mo' ME!" More explanations, more interviews, more open letters, more of everything from the Narcissist except putting talent on the court. Mitch Kupchak, Daryl Morey, R.C. Buford, Sam Presti, you know what successful GMs have in common? They let the product speak for itself. Hey Kahn, maybe you know what you're doing and (more likely) maybe you don't, but stop flapping your gums, you're not fooling anybody and it is more depressing to T-Wolves fans that you think you are.

That one poster has never been to Minneapolis. There is more going on there than any place I have ever been except San Francisco and NYC. I am talking culturally, and recreationally. Portland is a drug riddled slum compared to Minneapolis. I would even argue the weather is better in Minneapolis. Much more sun and variety.

Hopefully they are able to select three more point guards again next year with those picks
and then sign another point guard in free agency .... and then trade away the best one (Ty Lawson)

stop doing whatever drug it is that you are on .... the WHOLE Twolves team combined IS NOT as good as LeBron much less trying to compare Al (I have to shoot all the time and don't play no defense)Jefferson and Kevin (I can't get a shot off in the paint without getting it rejected and don't play no defense also) Love to LeBron .... talk about RIDICULOUS statements and not being updated on the goings on of your team you're so in love with

re Nuh Uh:

I've never been to Minneapolis? Grew up in Minneapolis, walked the streets in Minneapolis, forgot more about Minneapolis than you ever knew. Do you know about the Powers fire and the resultant decision to fill in the empty space with a building rather than a park? Do you know about Dayton's lobbying to turn the mall into a busway rather than a pedestrian street because it didn't want to lose its Nicollet street frontage? The Gateway redevelopment? The decision to site the garbage burning plant in downtown? The struggles that went on in city chambers about whether to put the primary redevelopment energy into the riverfront? Don't be such an idiot, nuh uh. Berating Portland because I mention it and happen to be on a job assignment there for a few months is like some sort of cheeseball gangsta stuff. If I posted from a town I was driving through would you then berate that town as not as cool as Minneapolis? My point remains: Minneapolis is a dead zone in terms of the cultural activity downtown. Sure there's the Guthrie and the Walker and the this and the that. I'm talking walking the streets of downtown Minneapolis at night. But then again, you have sagely pointed out that there is more going on in Minneapolis than in any city except San Francisco and NYC. CC to Miami, Seattle, Washington D.C., L.A., etc: Nuh Uh finds you wanting. And Denver and Austin and ... and... Homerism is fine and noble in a small way, Mr. Nuh Uh. But it is not necessarily accurate. See you downtown at the exciting, authentic Holidazzle parade, Mr. Nuh Uh.

The only person worse at drafting then McHale is Kahn.

He drafts two point guards ahead of the best one by far (Jennings), then drafts and trades the next best one (Lawson).

In the meantime Rubio's looking more like a bust everyday in Europe. He was smart to pass on the NBA right now. The only way it would work for him would be if he had the skills to get a max contract in 4 years. He was smart enough to know that wasn't going to happen.

what a piece of work your a dumbass and i think you need to lay off the drug...what im getting at is simple as this...our team has there two best players out ....well now one out and one making slow progress. why i put the cavaliers in this statement is to say that if they lose there two best players they would suck simple as that....im guessing your a little slow at understanding words and sentences. Its ok though only half the second grade school year is over you still have time to impress the teacher ;)
