Gordon responds to Pippen's critique

Scottie Pippen's scorched-earth assessment of current Bulls players and his stated desire to coach in the organization spread through the locker room quickly on Monday. Read more

Pippen's definitely a top "50" player, but he's not that bright. Isn't he campaigning for the job? Seems to me that it would make more sense for him to talk about the strengths of these players and how he could help them improve. He's basically calling John Paxon out. And while it might be accurate, I don't think Paxon is going to run out and hire him.

Pippen is the most overrated top 50 player in the pool. Pip is a top 50 player ONLY and ONLY because of Jordan. Hard to believe he could run the show by himself.

Come on BullsFan, Scottie played some of the best ball of his career after MJ's first retirement. I distinctly remember Red Kerr lobbying for Pippen as an MVP candidate during that '94 season.

When's the last time Ben Gordon refused to take the court in a critical end-of-game situation? Enough said about "Scottie's" standing to lecture anyone about selfishness. What a joke.

Chicago's wait service people don't want to see too much influence by "no-tippen" Pippen in Chicago.

He is a rich man with a miserly mentality.

Generosity is needed for a one person to mold others. He hasn't got it.

He is a whiny dude.

Gordon responded properly! Isn't Pippen the guy who would not go back into the game because he wasn't going to get the last shot!!!!! Now he wants to coach, forget about it!!!!

Pip is almost as dumb as Capt. Klank, the highly overrated, circle dribbling/clock eating, slow footed, career inconsistent shooter who can't beat any one off the dribble! He would rather shoot long 2's with no rebounder in sight when his shooting touch is non existentt than drive the lane! He shoots less than two free throws a game and turns the ball over once for every two assists! Pathetic!

Throw in No-Shot Noah to go along with No-Shot-No-Free- Throw Wallace and if you have a brain you can see why the Bulls stink! Paxson is clueless!

The way Ben Gorden plays, the Bulls should be happy if he refuses to take the court. In fact, the Bulls should trade their entire starting line-up for Scottie Pippen. That's how far they've fallen. Pax was a joke when he played and is a bigger joke as a G.M.

Quick trivia question clown, how many rings does Jordan have WITHOUT playing with Pippen? ZERO......That's how many!

Gordon once again proves that he has alot to offer in a game. This afternoon he put up 39 big ones. We are just lacking one more offensive player who can compliment with some big time shots. Duhon is a pathetic shooter. He misses wide open three's and needs to go to a shooting school.

Pippen has never been a Top-50 player! C'mon, one of the 50 best players in the history of the NBA?!? Not a chance! He may have had a couple of good years without Jordan and he certainly helped the Bulls win the six, but that doesn't make him one of the 50 best of all time. That whole Top 50 thing was just a marketing gimmick to begin with, but it was proven when Pippen's name was announced. Name him coach after he bad-mouths the players? What a horrible choice. Pax would be better off naming himself to the position.

Nevermind Pippen. The Bulls need Poppins, first name Mary. At least she'd be entertaining.

The Bulls aren't going to get better for a long, long time.

B-ball stinks right now and the NBA would be wise to get rid of the twenty time outs at the end of the game. Just let the game run itself out!

The last minute lasts longer than the previous 5 put together.

you are like everyone else, who worship Michael Jordan cause of how the white media made jordan into an Icon with commericals.

If you knowanything about basketball, you would give Scottie his credit. Jordan needed him just as much as he needed jordan.

To you Jordan worhsippers, ask Jordan himself & he will tell you that he needed Scottie. If you remember when Jordan unretired, he actually said the Bulls were Scottie's team. I think I'll take Jordan's talent assesstment over you "armchair jocks" anyday!!!!
