What's wrong with a Jewel bag, anyway? Personally, I would recommend a Target bag though (they're thicker and more durable), or a small insulated soft lunch cooler (bringing a couple of ice cold soft drinks would save you some cash on the plane or at the terminal, plus, your wife will be less likely to object, as it would look better than a Jewel bag).
Plus, when the Bulls fire Paxon someday, he can clean his desk out more quickly :)

thansk for reminding me how boring nba basketball is. The games are so dreadful the only entertainment to be had is discussing who should be fired and traded. Sam Smith understood this, he could write two pages in the trib and never mention a single game. College basketball still has actual rules and the game is played at a much higher level of effort and team play. NBA is druck, writing about nba is second hand druck. Keep smiling.

I always love your last question answer. Leaves me something to smile about somewhat related to the Bulls...a rarity these days. Thanks

You are a bit of an apologist for Paxson so you should at least say that you like the guy as a disclaimer before answering the question.

Before defending Paxson you absolutely have to mention he's had an unheard of number of high picks since he got here. Even in the playoff years he had high picks. How many teams have had that number of high picks?

You insist on using the phrase"spit-take" to what does this refer?
It sounds disgusting please stop it and say something we all understand and is not disgusting, thank you.

"bringing a couple of ice cold soft drinks would save you some cash on the plane"

I didn't know K.C. got to avoid the security lines. I'd like to be able to bring lukewarm water from home onto a plane, but can't. Lucky K.C.!

So, Florida Jim, are you twelve, ninety-two or have you *never* watched TV comedy? A spittake is when an actor/comedian/whoever, takes a drink of something and then hears or sees something "surprising" or "outrageous" causing them to spit out the liquid in their mouth.

Apparently you, Florida Jim, would have done a spit take upon reading the phrase spit take. Very meta, dude.

In your review of Paxson K.C., i think what everyone loved for those three years was, they saw a coach in Scott Skiles that had players hustling, especially on the defensive end, and they saw an improvement in the W-L column. Yes you're correct, fans were excited for a few years, but when the team which had been averaging maybe 20 wins a season, started to increase that total, folks were happy. You said the summer of 06 started the Bulls decline, and guess what K.C., it's now 09, and this team has nothing positive going for it at all. Players that aren't progressing, 3 head coaches, and a win total that keeps going backwards. Paxson has failed, and whether you want to be an apologetic for him or not, that fact doesn't change. Besides K.C., we all realize your access to that locker room would probably be about nil, if you started talking the truth about Paxson.

The Bulls won 49 games with Paxson a few years back.
I think you should just end it all since you are so miserable.

You can bring drinks onto the plane if you buy them at the airport after you go through security...
You cannot bring drinks onto the plane that you've brought from home...
You don't really save very much, though.

Shows what you know...
KC can write whatever he wants negatively about the Bulls, but the Chicago Tribune's beat writer would get the same time at practices or games that any credentialed press person would...
Besides, he's not paid to give opinions. He's the BEAT WRITER!

The bulls should not listen to the crys to get rid of their young talent.
This talent just needs to be developed for the pro game.
a] stop sleeping on ben gordan and sign him( he's your best scorer.)
b]bring in some specialty coache to develope their big men and tech them pro technic,( maybe akheem formerrocket center.
for the small forwards and /or guards ron harper or scottie pipen to teach defence/ denise rodman could have rebound and passing classes.

I think what a lot of people FAIL to realize is that Paxson can't go to the "potty" with out the permission of Jerry Reinsdorf. So there is NO WAY he is gonna make any deals unless he gets the ok from Reinsdorf. This team has been severely mis-managed by Paxson, with the heavy-hand of Reinsdorf "Looming" over him.

And besides

As long as those yuppies continue to fill those expensive front-row seats and munch on Nachos and drink plenty of beers, Reinsdorf and Paxson feel NO SENSE of urgency. Oh, and lets not forget the mopes who fill the 300 level seats, who almost fall off the balcony reaching for those rocket-propelled t-shirts.

Personally, I'm tired of the Bulls FAT cheerleaders, cheap promotions, and smoke and mirrors. Jordan and Pippen has been gone for years, and we've been witnessed at least 4,5 rebuilding periods. Time for Bulls fans to wake-up. Ain't nothing gonna happen with this team untill they start announcing crowds of 5,000 again, like they had in the 70's early 80's.
