I stand in defense of Jerry Krause.

When he came to Chicago the Bulls had MJ and noone else of any consequence.

When the Bulls won their 1st championship in 1991 every one of the players and coaches on that team with the exception of MJ was the result of Krause's drafts, trades and free-agent signings. EVERY ONE OF THEM.

In the 1988 draft he landed two players who started on the 1st 3 Championship teams - Grant and Pippen. The last time that had been done - get two STARTERS on a championship team in one draft - was Red Auerbach in the 1981 draft when he drafted Kevin McHale and traded for Robert Parish. It has not been done since.

The Bulls won their first championship in 1991 and their last in 1998 - 6 championships in 8 years. In that 8 years there was a turnover rate of 83%- 10 out of 12. It doesn't hurt if your remaining two players are named Jordan and Pippen, but that is STILL quite an accomplishment.

And Jerry Krause was the man who took a chance on an unknown minor league coach named Phil Jackson. Today PJ is lord of La La land, but if Krause hadn't had the acumen to go after him in the first place in 1987 noone would know who he is. Has PJ ever acknowledged that? Not to my knowledge.

Granted Krause made more than his share of mistakes after - and before - MJ retired, but IMO he never got the recognition he deserved for his part in the reign of terror Bulls fans enjoyed for 8 years in the 90s.

What has that got to do with the present quandry? Not a whole lot, granted, but I do smell a BIG trade coming up.

Hopefully Sam Smith in his capacity as honorary GM can clue us in as to what is going to happen.

Or one of his trade columns would be nice.

Trading Wallace sounds like a start

but

who would want him? Why do you think the Pistons let him go so easily? Pax got suckered bigtime and now he is stuck with Wallace.

Giving up Aldridge and Roy for Thomas and Sefolosha was also a HUGE mistake.

Are you on the team? I am going to guess you are not. So, how would you know anything about what you are claiming? Seems from what has been written that Noah has been a distraction all season, and the distraction came to a head when he verbally confronted an assistant coach. I suppose from your logic that Noah was not respondsible for the altercation and that poor Noah is being singled out because other are jealous of his 4 points a game and the 12 whole minutes he plays nightly. You should really refrain from posting things you know nothing about, then again that would perclude you from ever posting again.
You are not on the team, either. Why are you more qualified to post than him? This entire forum is about people without a clue. So forget it.

Suspend Ben Wallace for stealing from the Bulls. Over 10 million per year and can't shoot a free throw. Toinght he doesn't score more than 5 points or even get 5 rebound. He is out scored and out rebounded every night by TYSON CHANDLER! JOHN PAXSON WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!!!!!!!

Ben W 3 rebounds 4 points.

J. Noah 11 rebounds 12 points.

Ben should be suspended.

It is a disgrace to watch the bulls play! We don't have a team with jordan anymore but that does not mean that we chicago fans will tolerate this pathetic attitude from the bulls players! I think we need to do something quick, before we start making new york knicks look good.

Paxson has to go cause he failed to make the moves neccessary to fill the needs of the team. I am fine with the drafting especially the last two cause he took the most talented players availible which always pays off in the long run. I am **** about the trades he has made and the many trades he has whiffed on.

They peaked last year we saw it in the collapse of the backcourt in the playoffs and he failed to bring in a star SG didn't have to be Kobe but they needed a big scorer that can defend.

He came in with an agenda to get rid of all the bulls players and he forced Curry and Chandler out who have proven to be better frontcourt players than any he brought in. He gave away Chandler and planned on giving away Curry but got lucky cause Isaiah might be the only GM that is more retarded than he. His trades suck and I hope he is happy with his mess cause this is his team and it is as flawed as he is...

Stupid former players turned GM how about we interview smart people for the job next time? Reinsdork get off your **** and get a replacement!
