Yeah, they stink dude. Why don't you have the guts to say that Paxson put this team together with high draft choices, questionable signings, and stupid trades. State the obvious, but when people talk about the Knicks, it's the owner and the coach. The Bulls peaked last year, and they know it. Put the blame where it belongs. Who would want anyone on that team other than Deng and maybe Thomas?

Paxson isn't an overly intelligent person in the first place. He's failed, it's time to get somebody who can actually evaluate talent.

I agree with everything in your column & both comments -- except for one thing. I don't think it's fair to lump Joe Smith in with the rest of these overpaid losers. He has played with heart and height (two things sorely lacking with the rest of the team). He was a terrific offseason pickup. Too bad he has no one but Nocioni to play with.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: on any pro team, chemistry is very important. firstly, you can't have a captain thats an average or below average player like hinrich. how can you inspire the other players when you shoot bricks constantly? why does no one see that hinrich is the problem? it's very clear that he doesn't bring anything to the table. no one says a word about him. he is awful. if you replace him, you will see immediate improvment. he sucks. i don't know any other way to describe this. look at what nash, paul and kidd do for their respective teams. an then look at what paxson paid to keep hinrich. there has got to be some sort of oversight or misjudgment by paxson. or maybe even prejudice! what can hinrich do so well that jamal crawford couldn't do. hmmm. i don't think that the players fell comfortable playing with hinrich. in that case, they should trade him and duhon for a veteran point guard and center. very simple. there is a lot of talent on that team that is under-utilized because of his inabilty to create and pass.

this has got to be the worst basketball team i ever watched. in the sixties i saw jerry west, gail goodrich, happy hairston, Wilt Chamberlain. The bulls are second class no namers. hinrich dribbles too much and turns the ball over when he decides to pass. nocioni, gordon, and kirk for gasahol. hey, throw in doohan and wallace for good measure. time to start over, or maybe cheer for another team.

Loved him as a player, but clearly Pax should be dismissed. This season should be his last.

I just heard Paxson mumbling on the radio trying to defend his recent management of the team. He's toast unless he takes charge of the team. Hire a real coach. Get some real players. He'll be fine. His version of cruise control is steering the team over a cliff.

Pax do something. We want you to succeed.

Well, if Jerry Reinsdorf was dead, he'd be rolling in his grave. But knowing he's alive, I think its time to wave the white flag.

Everyone that wants to trade Hinrich for someone that can score or Wallace for someone that has talent; please get real. There is NO TALENT on this team. No one is in the business of helping the Bulls. Outside of Isiah and McHale, Paxson is easily the worst GM in the NBA.

Every one of his moves is wrong. It is all over fans. Blow this disaster up and fire Paxson. Pray for a high lottery pick and pray that Paxson will not be making the pick. Tank the season!!!

Though residing in Philly, I remain a big Bulls fan. But it saddens me to see their continual demise, after they appeared to be on the brink with a Skiles and a scrappy, defense-first team. But the signs of trouble where there, even after doing so well last season. Everyone knows the Wallace signing was a colossal mistake, and now people are seeing that resigning Hinrich to a lucrative deal was similarly boneheaded. Oh, and drafting two extremely athletic yet unschooled big guys in Thomas and Noah? Really, really dumb. Great, we have two versions of Stromile Swift! The man behind these moves is our beloved Pax, who was a worldclass shooter but a bottom-tier evaluator of talent, alas. Time to go. I love the Gasol idea. Imagine this Bulls fans ... a post player who can score!! And he can do a few other things as well. But if Memphis' brass is halfway intelligent, they'll pluck either Deng or Nocioni, our only top-tier talent. Simply put: we need more complete players. You know, guys who can score, pass, defend and rebound. With the exception of Nocioni and maybe Joe Smith, who is old but still fundamentally sound, we have none! Time to blow-up this roster.

Signing Ben Wallace was the death of this team. He is a one dimensional player with no offensive skills. There is no place for a player like him in the NBA.
On top of that he has a bad attitude and is a cancer to team morale.
He would be the first to go if I were trying to turn this team around.

I mean everything?
The Cubs most seasons. Fortunately not 2007.

For that matter, Jerry Krause's recent teams featuring Curry and Chandler (not the ones from DePaul) were perennially in that category.

I howled in protest when the Bulls drafted Noah. Now we see that he can't even act like a professional. Good to see Tyson Chandler is finally living up to his potential, it's a shame that he's doing it for a team other than the Bulls.
I'm pretty sure I can run the Bulls as poorly as Paxson and for a fraction of the cost.

The reason this team sux is Paxson as his consistant failure to address team needs. This team has had two major glaring needs for 3 straight years!!! Everyone seems to know they need a big starting SG and a dominant scoring bigman. He has to go and it has to be now we need someone who has the balls to make a change and not this pigheaded idiot who probably still thinks "his boys" will be okay! He drove chandler and curry off for nothing (he got lucky with NY picks).
I have no confidence in his trading just look at the fools he has traded for: PJ Brown, Micheal Sweetney, Tim Thomas, JR Smith and Adrian Griffin also he signed Scottie Pippen when everyone else knew he was garbage. Tim Thomas was a black eye for the Bulls who refused to let him near the team! Hello! Do your freaking homework next time! This is the guy you put your faith in making a trade to fix this team?
Clearly not Managerial material let alone GM of a 400 million dollar business!

I would like to add to the above comment, if I man...

The Chicago Bulls need to get rid of the management and coaching staff also...

That's all I have to say...

Thank you for your consideration...
