"But to most observers, it all comes down to toughness. " .....
so true. In the finals, the Lakers let excuses rule their mental makeup. Oh, we don't have Bynum. We can't play D. Oh, we don't have Ariza, Pierce will torch us. Oh, Pau is new to the system. Oh, we're getting good looks. It's just not going in. Little birdies, chippies or whatever. Wait until next year..........Next year is here, and the paint is still open, legs wide open, vacancy sign lit up like vegas. Teams fire open 3's like open season. From the way the Lakers play the last10 games or so, I predict another embarrassment because soft or not, the Lakers have not learned from last year.........Pierce will have a 40 night if Luke plays him. Piercewill have all kinds of energy to drive and no fouls since he's not guarding anybody..... Smart teams will let Luke shoot all he wants. Take his passing away, then you take Bynum/gasol away. Luke is left to pass to Kobe for an outside shot. It's not as coincident that Bynum has been racking up early fouls at an alarming rate since Luke got his starting nod. Take two players out to the equation by inserting in one. Yay, triangle. Yay ball movement.
