Magic hold off Lakers 106-103

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

The Orlando Magic overcame Kobe Bryant , plus some of their own poor decisions and wretched free-throw shooting, to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 106-103 on Saturday night in front of a sell-out crowd at Amway ...

I think it will be a 37-45 season folks. It will either leave the Magic out of the playoffs or they will be in at number 8 at best. You heard it here first.

Keep on coming all of you naysayers. We need each and everyone of you fools to keep providing us with motivation. If you need a witness, just ask the Lakers and Spurs about us.

What a game, great heart down the stretch and lock-down defense. However, I see we are still being doubted. Check out this direct statement from NBA.com (Magic-Lakers recap):

"Orlando's been the beneficiary of a generous schedule. They caught San Antonio on the second of back-to-back games, and enjoyed the same advantage against the Lakers. Los Angeles lost to Miami on Friday."

Bring on the doubters!

wow. just another win for the magic. dwight on the bench for most of the game and hits the big free throws to clinch. so many people stepping up at different times in the game to make the needed plays.keep building the wins one step at a time.

Man can we finally get some respect around here. We dominate the Spurs and then we turn around and beat LA Lakers. Come on man you know we are doing things right now. Jameer Nelson really does have all eyes on him and is enjoying the spotlight. The guy is averaging 24.3 ppg in the last three games 5.3 ast. and 3 T.O a game. I think he's really enjoying the spotlight. We got it done tonight. Need to work on our free-throws but other than that great match up. I can't wait for the bandwagon jumpers to come aboard. Just makes you feel good to be a true fan!

Party time! Finally beat LA in our house. Nelson is playin like he wants to be in the all star game, and right now he deserves to be in there. Howard huge rebounds and free throws at the end. This team is for real folks. You heard it here.

Nelson keeps on keeping on. Great to see!!! A lot more focus now - no more yucking it up with Kobe & other star players on the other teams.

Hope he stays injury free for the rest of the season.

you know if it wasn't for that "trade" that send pau to the lakers they would be nothing, but the league has an interest in kobe and the lakers to be a good team, myself personally, I'm tired of ball hog kobe but everyone else including announcers kiss his ass everyday...

If jameer keeps this up, we're going to the finals for sure!!! And someone needs to tell the refs who Dwight Howard is, tired of all these players flopping on him. Not only was Dwight clutch at the end but he made Bryant pass up a close shot at the end. GO MAGIC!!!!

Great game for the Magic tonight. Although, once again, the Western teams come to Florida for a back to back and the Magic get the second game. I remember the Heat complaining about that a few years ago (not that I care, of course!)

BTW... anyone who is enjoying all this great Magic basketball on DimHouse, here's a sobering fact for you:

# of games on SunSports in Jan: only 2! Feb: 4 Mar: 5

That's right, all but 11 games in Jan-Mar are on FSN (exluding a few ESPN ones)

Time for Magic fans to really start grinding FSN and DimHouse for a settlement.

What can I say, "YOU GOT TO BELIEVE"
This team has the heart and the talent
to make it happen.
Can wait for a Boston and Cavs game.
Bring it on.

This team of MINE is sooooo good that all they need is old Grant Hill and I see them making the 2nd round.
As good as they are they might as well make that JJ for Hill trade right now.

Go Magic we are with you all the way, however far the way is of course.

This was the most poorly officiated game I have ever seen at Amway. Joey Crawford needs to be taken off the court
