With Hughes we lose

Easy to take shots at Hughes now (which I have been doing for 2 years), but the way Mike Brown handles things, I bet you Dan Gibson doesn't play in game 4. Meanwhile Larry Hughes play 40 minutes and have 6 turnovers, 4 points and 3 assists.

Larry Hughes getting hurt was the biggest break for the Cavs this season. If he is in the game healthy last night during the final minutes, guaranteed that the pistons take the ball from him like they did in game 2 (talk about being strong with the basketball). How about Hughes' alley oop to lebron that banked off the top of the backboard in the first half (great assist/turnover).

``It's all or nothing at this point,'' James said.``In order for us to win, I have to play this way. I have to be aggressive.''

Sounds like he's been reading these Cavs threads :)

I love these opening words by Windhorst:
"With a steely glaze and firm resolve"

Steely GLAZE? LOL.

lol@ a negative post to start this forum.... thats what i've come to expect out of some of you so called fans. What a game!!! Lebron not clutch?! That looked like the most important shot in his career tonight and he hit it. We've got one more at home to focus on and then back to detroit. Pistons better be worried. Billups 4-14 fg, 5 turnovers, 3 assists. Drew has to get over the fact that he is not going to get any fouls called for him (even though he does get freaking hacked by wallace badly with no call). What can i say about Z, he was obviously pissed about his performance in last year's playoffs and it shows. And was it not the sweetest thing in the world when lebron DUNKED on that punk rawedd wallace. Dan Gibson just earned himself soooooo many minutes for the rest of his cleveland career. The kid is fearless and has some very quick hands on defense. Once he realizes he can drive the lane(which he can) he will be hard to stop, but that comes with time... he is still a rook, a fearless rook. Mike Brown isn't that stupid, dan gibson will get extended minutes after that performance. Detroit... watch out. oh and 32pts 9reb 9ast, not too shabby...lol

oh and i thought i would add, for those of you who say " well lebron must put those numbers up every night for the cavs to win" he doesn't have to put numbers up exactly like that to win as shown in the first two games that we were in til the last seconds. Lebron just needs to play big in the fourth quarter and get his teamates involved during the game. Keep in mind Detroit is better on the road than at home and when we tough out the next one at home, the pistons will be primed for a loss at the palace where we are more than capable of winning.
GO CAVS!!!!

I DO AGREE HE DOES NOT HAVE TO PUT THOSE NUMBERS UP EVERY NIGHT. BUT HE DOES NEED OTHERS TO STEP UP. LBJ WAS AWESOME THIS GAME. IM A LAKER FAN, TO ME KOBE IS NUMBER ONE. BUT THIS GUY HAS SOME MAJOR TALENT. VERY GIFTED. HUGHES PLAYS GOOD SOME GAMES THEN OTHERS OH BOY. BUT CANNOT BE GREAT ALL THE TIME. THAT IS WHERE YOU GET YOUR TRUE FANS. WHEN THE TEAMS ARE DOWN AND YOU ARE STILL ROOTING FOR THEM. GOOO LAKERS. NBA FOREVER

LeBron posterizing Rasheed Wallace was beyond classic. They could have lost the game and Game 4 and I still would have been happy just because of that play. I also like how as soon as that happened, Wallace turned around and looked at the ref. The Pistons can't help but complain on every single call. What a bunch of crybaby punks.....

IF YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST TWO GAMES ALL THE CALLS WERE GOING FOR THE PISTONS. NOW WE ARE SEEING SOME LOVE FOR THE CAVS. GOOOO LAKERS.

No more passionate scowls--king does listen to mommy. Thank goodness he showed-up early -- was he on the 1st or 2nd bus? Did he have to take a potty break? Did you also follow him to the flats, but forgot to report that the king doesn't tip his subjects? The 'chosen one' on his back, facial sculptures,'king' written on his shoes--if this is the best thing to happen to C-Town since Jim Brown, then I need a U-Haul to escape all the BS about a 22 year old egomaniac !

Game 3 was an awesome one for the exceptional Cavs, who are proving themselves to be one of the most complete teams in the league. LBJ was purest LBJ, and that plastering of Wallace was just the exclamation point on a brilliant performance. But another exciting aspect is seeing Z's exciting play, the rise and rise of Gibson, and Pav's beautiful moves. As for egomaniacs, Mr. Trump, you seem to be at the top of the list. Guess you completely missed Game 1, where LBJ passed first damn near every time he touched the ball, trying to get everyone involved, and it was only after realizing that experiment wouldn't work that he took over completely. If you hate your own home team so much and are so eager for a U-Haul to escape, go ahead and rent it. The true Cavs fans will be delighted to see you go.

I can't wait to hear you when Gibson has a bad game.
How did they get the second seed?
How did they avoid playing Miami or Chicago before the conference finals?
That's right, by starting Larry Hughes at point guard.
This is not a knock against Boobie...what a rookie presence he has...he could not have played better.
But to just throw Larry out to dry, that's just wrong.
Larry is a veteran and you obviously don't have respect for that aspect of his game.
If Daniel Gibson is the saviour, then why did we just win Game 5 with a multi-cast at point guard.
I understand your sentiments about Larry, but give it a rest.
He has stopped shooting as much and is passing more.
Hell, the few shots he took tonight he made..clutch three pointers in the 1st quarter to keep the game close.
If we don't have Hughes when Gibson goes down to injury this season what then would you have to say about him.
He wants to win.
He shot his foot up with Novacaine.
Torn foot muscle and all, Larry put his heart on the floor Thursday.
Stop ripping him.
Besides we should be rejoicing at the display that Lebron put on this evening.
I can barely comment.
The emergence of a man?
The emergence of a veteran?
The emergance of a playoff superstar.
