Varejao is just not that damn good. I don't know who he's talking about when he says he gets paid less than the players he "out performs". I can't think of anyone that's a starter that he out performs. Sure he's great at drawing a charging call. Oh yeah he hustles when he plays but isn't that the way you're supposed to play. He's not that talented. Go to Brazil and stay there for all I care. Cavs will win without you.

So the entire NBA playoff structure is broke because the Cavs made it to the Finals? I don't see what preferences you are talking about? Please enlighten us.
you know what I think Steve G.-I think that you have a loan at quickens and you're behind on your payments. Maybe you should get a financial adviser or someone that knows what the hell you are talking about. I need to ask you one more thing. Did you watch the Cavs last year? They were pretty damn good if I remember correctly.

<quoted text> See, this is what I don't get ... he wasn't a starter. But he WILL be. Ferry signed Gooden to trade him, and Ilgauskas is going to be a cripple by February, guaranteed. Who gives a crap whether or not he started in the past. It's what he's going to do in the future. And, I might add, the difference between Gooden's minutes and Varejao's minutes in the recent past has been fairly negligible, anyway.
That "starter" thing is a really, really, really crappy argument. Which has never stopped Windy before, but if it's going to result in blowing some additional pro-Ferry spin, I guess it never hurts to throw it out there.
I think the approach of paying for potential has been proven to be a terrible failure more times then it hasn't. I can only think of one guy in the recent past "Mehmet Okur". Failures include Calvin Booth, Jarred Jefferies, Kwame Brown, James Jones, Raef LaFrentz and so on. And all of the named players had much more offensive talent. What is it that I missed that makes you think Varejao is going to magically gain the ability to shoot 10 foot jumpers, hit free throws, post guys up? Gooden has a pure shot and grabs boards adequately, varejao shots foul shots like Shaq, trys to face up and fails, and bricks lay ups and running 4 foot hook shots, and shoots ugly UGLY line drive jumpers.

Ferry offered $52 million for 6 years and AV turned it down according to the PD today. Ferry is no longer a cheap a$$ in my mind, but AV & his agent are stupid for turning down that much money. As far as I'm concerned Wild Thing can now stay in Brazil and play with himself.
Good to know that Ferry pumped up his spin a bit. As usual, the sportswriters will write anything if it promotes Ferry's causes. Hate to use candid language, but bullshit.

<quoted text>It's called NBA team management collusion. It's against the law by the way. Lots of teams could use AV at $5.3 million for the season.
Andy won't sign a 5.3 million dollar contract though. If he would, he'd be under contract now. Why even bother to make an offer that 1) will get rejected by the played or 2) will get matched by the cavs,

who cares about the cavs.last year's trip to the finals was a fluke.and if we didnt go to the finals it would've been better. instead of getting embarrassed by a sweep. lebron will never win an MVP on this team as long as he has such teammates. our team is overrated.and i see lebron leaving it at the end of his contract.our state of ohio just dont get championships in pro sports.its a good thing that we have ohio state. and if it wasnt for that damn school up north. WE WOULD'VE ruled the big ten and college sports

CHARLOTTE, N.C. In need of a big man, the Charlotte Bobcats reached agreement Tuesday on a three-year offer sheet for an estimated $20 million with Cleveland restricted free agent Anderson Varejao, giving the Cavaliers a week to match the deal or lose him.

Now we'll see if I was right about cheap a$$es Ferry and Gilbert or not.

I still don't want him. Isn't there any way we can get rid of him and still get something for him?
