Alright!! Bring them on. Both teams need second round experience to become contenders the other gets to try again next year. Two teams in the same boat, lets see which one moves up first. Magic in 6

The key to the playoff matchup is
Jameer Nelson unwillingness to play perimeter defense. Caldron and Ford will have a field day against Arroyo and Nelson because the magic point guards do not defend well! Raptors 4-2

I'm sick of the same ----.Nelson and Arroyo are average PG in the NBA. You could olso say that Haward is not a good player because he permit a lot of Off rebounds and make a lot of TO.(NOTTTTT). So stop blameming Nelson and Arrollo for everything.

You can say the same about teams guarding Nelson. When he drives, he's very hard to stop. But he seems to forget about driving during the flow of the game and just passes it quickly or jacks up shots when he doesn't need to.

Arroyo seems to do the same and I think he could drive it more to the basket also. He can't get to the basket as good as Nelson, but he has a really good mid-range shot.

I think this will be an exciting series. The teams play similar games and both are great 3 point shooting teams.

Time for the guards to step it up, time for the team to start rebounding and playing with an attitude to get to the next round.

I can't wait!

Go Magic!

Well said.

Check out this link - the Magic point guards' production, using Hollinger's player efficiency rating (PER) pretty much cancels out their opponents. There is obviously room for improvement, but it is ridiculous to criticise the point guards for all of Orlando's problems, and to pick them as the weak link in every matchup.

http://www.82games.com/0708/0708ORL5.HTM

Add to that, Nelson is 19th amongst point guards in PER, Dooling 26th and Arroyo 36th. It would be great to have one of those guys in the top 10, but top rate point guards are very hard to acquire, and having 3 guards, each with their own talents, in the top 36 in the league is pretty good.

I am really looking forward to this series. Two teams who play good, offense oriented basketball going head to head. Both have similar make ups - an All-Star big man surrounded by a platoon of perimeter threats. Should be pretty exciting to watch.

Both my heart and my head say an Orlando win, probably in 6 games. As good as Toronto are on their day, I think Orlando has a slight edge, plus it seems TO has some real problems with health.

Magic will lose this series. They match up very poorly. Otis made a big mistake signing Jameer and that mistake will be exposed right off in the first series. Staffing your guards with munchkins with no idea that the best 3 players need the ball is a bad plan. Play some freakin' defense Jameer! You are College POY and don't know how to play Perimeter Defense? I doubt it.

PG's=+2 Raptors
Big men ==
SG's =+.5 Magic
Centre ==
SF =+1 Magic
Bench =+1 Raptors
-----
Raptors +1.5 or they take the series in 6 games.

The city cheered when we heard it was the Magic in the first round.

Oops if we add in the "Curse of Shaqbino" Toronto in 5 games.

Magic are deeper and vary their style of play. Perfect situation. Besides the Raptors do not have enough rebounding to beat them in a seven game set.

The team that puts the Magic out of the playoffs will be the team that out rebounds them.

That is the only chink in their armour. The Magic are a rebounding power forward away from being the best team in the East.

1 and OUT MAGIC ...

Bye Bye magic ... I'm not a hater because there is no way the Magic can win it all this season or make the ECF. But this is the best matchup they could have gotten to be exposed at their guard play. Signing Jameer before he had proven himself was the worst signing Otis could have made. Now, TJ and Calderon will torch these guys. Raps in 6. Hopefully in the summer magic can make some good off-season moves ....

But wait ... its the Magic.

Hi. It's just me, Happy. I like to say "are you Happy Pappy?"

First of all I'd like to say "quit picking on Jameer!"
Just because he has some mental depression problems is No reason he can't take something and be Happy!

Next, I was wondering if the guys from the USA that play anything in Canada start ending everything they say with an "eh."
Like, "I'm happy we get to play the Magic, eh" or "let's have another beer, eh."
Also, girls I know call the Canadians "macaroni eaters", lol, because they eat so much macaroni & cheese...plus they never Tip anyone in the USA.
Well, just been thinking about those things.

We can all be Happy for the Magic that they play the Raptors.
I know that all the Raptors are Happy they get the Magic, you know. They think they can beat the Magic but the Magic are Happy because they think they can beat the Raptors.
That's all good because all of them are Happy!

Well, I know some of you will be Sad if the Magic lose but try not to be ok. Be Happy they did so good what with the coach they have and how he treats them so bad and tries to make them UNHappy.
I'm Happy for them and I know they may lose but that's ok, you know. Winning isn't everything that can make them/us Happy.
Losing is ok especially when you are on a team that has such poor rankings in the NBA.
I'll be Happy that the long hard useless season is over, and so will the Players. Most hate the Playoffs and they get UNHappy. The Management and Coachs love the Playoffs cause they are very Happy to get so much more Money.

Well, no matter what we can't lose if we are Happy. The Players will be Happy win or lose, ok.
So let's all of us be Happy no matter what!
Happy is as Happy does.

"are ya Happy PAPPY?"
