i agree that the pick we got wasnt the best we could have got but it is a good thing that allen iverson is gone because with out him the sixers are a much better TEAM because when he was with us it was a one man team and andre iguodala didnt get any points or play but now hes gone iguodala is a much better player and will improve next year and the year after

Billy King should fired.

He has been tragic as a General Manager. It seems we are always building the next great team, year in and year out, without progress.

Trades Iverson & McFarlin(didn't matter) for Miller (OK-Needed a point guard)+ Joe Smith (doesn't matter/journeyman player who never panned out in NBA)+ 2 First Round Picks in 2007 (#12,#21).

We get Thaddaeus Young (agree, a good pick)+ Daequan Cook (Ohio State) who King then trades away for a guy who won't last in the league 7-0 Jason Smith + 2009 2nd round pick again.

King should have kept Cook.

Then he gets one of the premier European players who also is very young Koponen and trades for Cash + 2nd Round 42nd Pick.

Sixers later pick up Derrick Byars and Herbert Hill who will probably make line-up, but be situation players.

Sixers could have had Young, Cook, Koponen. A very good, athletic, scoring, guard/forward trio.

Instead, we get Young,Jason Smith, Byars, and Hill which is toward roles of center/power forward.

I think Philly was fine with Dalembert & Hunter at center.

With these selection, it is important that King get rid of Alan Henderson, Joe Smith, Louis Admunson, and Bobby Jones for CASH + four 2nd Round Picks in 2008 or for 1 GOOD Proven Player who isn't in their 12th year.

Sixers will be an improved team with starting line-up of Andre Miller, Willie Green, Andre Iguodala, Carney, Dalembert

with Korver, Ollie, Lou Williams, Randolph, Hunter coming off the bench.

I see all the rookies making the team and there just to spell players, Jason Smith, Thaddeus Young, Derrick Byars, and Herbie Hill.

Not a bad draft, but could have been much better with keeping Cook & Koponen and using Henderson, Joe Smith, Admundson, Jones to secure a Center/Power Forward somewhere.

i agree with u but i have a problem with your starting line up andre miller iguodala and sam are all starters and i think carney will be but if we play green as well we will have no one with the strength to guard the top power fowards this is why i still think hunter should start along side sam

am i the only one who sees that willie green, is garbage... he is a less talented version of A.I. He has the exact same mentality as A.I. but not even half as effective... i think we should get rid of him... the lineup should be
Miller
Igoudala
Carney
Smith
Dalembert
Jason smith was actually a good pick... he is like the white mans version of amare stoudemire.. i see good things comin out of him in the future... also young will take carney's spot next year, unless he gets tougher, and starts grabbin some boards... but everyone benefits from a little competition so im eager to see them scrap it out for spots...

Billy King said this probably won't be the roster on opening night. Yea, willie green is trash and I think we should trade him. I see the lineup as:
Andre Miller
Andre Iguodala
Thaddeus Young
Jason Smith
Sam Dalembert
I don't think Rodney Carney will ever pan out into a starter but is a good energy guy off the bench. I hope we sign Joe Smith back because he was a veteran leader that rebounded for us last year. I don't see Bobby Jones getting much time. I think Derrick Byars will get more time than him.

i agree that wille green shuold be traded and i also think that shavlick randolph should be traded he dosnt rly bring anything to the team he slow and boring to watch he cant score very well and i hope that we can get a half decent player for both of them i think that our starting line up next season should be
pg:miller
sg:iguodala
sf:yuong
pf:jason smith
c: dalambert
and main bench players are
luois willams who i hope will see more minuets this season to imporve his game and i think he can bring somthing to this team in time.
rodney carney i think he will play well at the summer league but i dont think now that he can be a starter. kyle kover he will just carry on where he left of last season. and steven hunter he did start for most of this season but i dont think that two centers like hunter and dalambert should play in the starting line up together because both of them dont score the basket often enough and we need a inside scorer
