Barring a complete collapse, Huskies are in NCAA territory. Great job by Calhoun and staff. And they could still get better. Dyson must have been a hinderance to team play. Maybe, the time off the court will get him to rethink his game. He needs to shoot jump shots every day especially from three point line and of course, run, run, run. Coach K gets all the press but Coach C has always been better.

the great coaches make their stand in times like these. Calhoun is showing everybody why he is in the hall of fame.

Great crowd today, looks like a lot of the fair weather fans either gave up their tickets because the crowd looked amazingly younger.

Maybe a bad year was the best thing for the program as the real fans are finally back in the building and the sit on your hands arrive and leave early (60-80 year old crew) haven't been there for L'Ville or Pitt games.

To all the TRUE BELIEVERS, Go Huskies Go

Hard fought game and good poise at the end for UConn. Go Huskies.

This was a close game against a fine Pitt team. EVERY Huskie contributed. What that essentially means is that without the return of Wiggins, this could well have been a close loss instead of a close win. Until Dyson returns, this team will still be vulnerable.

I was at the game today...Atmosphere was awsome...UConn didn't play great but they played with a lot of heart and their defense was terrific. Price is an amazing leader.

see folks, please dont give up on the coach or the team.Once again they are climbing up the ladder. Have faith. Please dont say Coach retire. dont forget equil rights. no discrimination against the elderly.Just look all he has done for the state of Connecticut by keeping down town vibrant and money coming in to the merchants. You will never get it with a coaching change.

Only 60 pts scored but excellent balance with three players in double figures. With a starter and prominent sub not playing, Calhoun is getting a superb effort from his team.

Austrie is so much better than Dyson. He doesn't try to force anything when it's not there.

UCONN looked ragged today. They looked like they were getting beat off the glass badly.Stanley Robinson wasn't a factor. Wiggins didn't play well on his return and so on and so on.Still they won.
How is that possible? I think they played a little more delbierately in second half.In so doing they executed their half court a little better and that combined with their tenacious defense was enough.I believe been a little more deliberate without their 2 fastest players and that helps them execute better on offense over the course of the game.I hope they can stick to this pattern of play. They make too many errors when they try to uptempo the game.
