True. The complaints about Blair, thuggishness, Thabeet not being ready for the pros, and the refs are all predictable. Thanks for the insights everyone!
Fact is: UCONN got outplayed for the first time since the G-Town game, with the same result. Pitt's strategy to take away UCONN's strengths worked to a Tee. They will need to improve on rebounding and perimeter D for the result to change when the venue moves to the Zoo in Pitt.
Pitt and the rest of the BE needs to calm down the rough stuff for the NCAAs. Foul trouble will beat the best of teams.RE: Blair & Thabeet. I think this might have been the first time that Thabeet played someone that had no fear of him whatsoever. Also Thabeet was OVER THE BACK on the flip play. Blair had two hands on the ball and Thabeet's elbow next to his (Blair's) ear. How could Blair flip Thabeet unless Thabeet was BEHIND him?
Best luck to both teams.
I know that whatever happens they both will represent well in the NCAA.
