Could Pitts' better RPI decided the outcome of the two games won over UConn? The Huskies didn't embarrass themselves or their fans by losing Sat. Pitt was the better team and I wouldn't be surprised to see them winning the national title. Thabeet had a good first half but his exhaustion in the 2nd really showed. He is ready for NBA and should move on. He will not get better playing another year of college ball.

Disagree on Thabeet. He has very little offense. Needs another year @UCONN to develop scoring skills.

If I were Gino, I'd ask for a raise. At least Gino WINS.

UConn couldn't buy a basket to day. Too many shots circled the rim and went out.

Today's game reinforced what we saw in Hartford -- Pitt is clearly the superior team and truly the Beast of the East. I hate to say it, but they're quicker, tougher and more skilled than our Huskies. They have a good shot at winning it all this year.

Don't get me wrong, I love coach Calhoun. When is he ever going to show Pitt something different. I'm sick of seeing the Huskies playing man to man against teams where we have matchup problems. We have no answer man to man for Sam Young. How many times do we have to basically get beat by 1 person before we decide to show something different. Why be so STUBBORN. In 06 watched George Mason isolate our bigs down low and eat them up all day. If Coach Stubborn, I mean Coach Calhoun would have played 2-3 minutes of zone that game, the huskies probably win the national championship. Face it coach, some teams you just don't matchup well with. Be brave enough to change something once in a while. I'm sure your team and all the Huskie fans would appreciate it. PLEASE.

I agree. His work at the offensive end needs more development, and another year will benefit his improving skills in this area.

O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D!!!! and O-V-E-R-P-A-I-D!!!

Not a dime back, Warden Calhoun? Perhaps you need to pay your thugs a little more than you (and your dedicated boosters) have been doling out?
Not a dime back...and not a Big East championship...and certainly not a Final Four.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, Jimbo.

Austrie is not an adequate offensive replacement for Jerome Dyson. I prefer seeing more playing time for Kemba Walker.

UConn's half court offense has always been suspect in the crunch.

Why do people just wait for us to lose so they can post idiotic,'rub it in your face' messages? I bet their team that they root for -if they even have one isn't doing half as well as Uconn is this season. It's insane...

You are obviously a person who does not enjoy sports--only winning. There is no competition in women's basketball.

I'm disappointed that the Huskies did not win, but I really enjoyed the season and am sorry, in a way, that it is over.

Pitt played great bb, UConn did very well. We'll see ...

I agree with the poster who said that competition is exciting--not simply winning.

I appreciate what Geno has done, but I seldom watch the women: I know what the outcome will be. I always watch the men--competitive teams make the game exciting, not seasons where you know your team will win by at least 10 points.

I love UConn but this game at times was frustrating to watch. everytime i though UConn might take control of the game Pitt answered with a run of their own. Pitt is a very good basketball team with multiple offensive threats. I hope UConn will see them again in the Big East tournament final. Pitt may have the edge, but it's tough to beat a good team 3 times in the same year so who knows. Cant wait for the BE tourney to get underway!
