Man that's tough to go from coach of the year to getting bounced in less than three years. Sam was always a class act and a gritty player. We certainly could and have done worse.

Sam Mitchell as a veteran player helped a young team learn how to win. In my opinion, he would now be the best option to again help a young team learn how to win. Only this time as their coach, but the truth is that Glen Taylor's blind loyalty to his hero Kevin Mchale has already cost him almost all of the team's fans, and most likely he will stick with him for five years too long as the coach, just like he did with Mchale as the GM.

What are the odds that Sam Mitchell coaches for the Wolves next year? I think it would be a good fit for our young team, and possibly spark more interest in the organization. The Wolves have to do something, I clicked across a game last weekend and it was pathetic at how many empty seats there were. We never had that problem when KG was here.

with the fifth pick the mn t-woves select...

can they get robio at 5, or will they have to make a move to trade up for him ?
could they even think that far ahead ?

trade utah and /or boston pick to move up from 5 to 2.
trade the miami pick ?
let's hope they can move up without having to trade anything.

I know Sam, he got good BB skills, good coaching skills and can enjoy what we all enjoy now and then with a few good friends.

always a fan of sam, not necessarily for his abilities, but for the man that he made KG into. the guy obviously knows how to relate and motivate people to become better. i would love to have him coaching the pups...make mcfail the water-boy or something.
anybody see blake griffin go for 30 and 17 yesterday?

He's probably still getting a pay check! Because of that it's hard to feel for the guy, although coaching in the NBA is so fickle. Mitchell obviously knows that now. I think that's a big part of why McHale is hesitant to commit to coaching. One da he will get stabbed in the back by a current 'friend' like what he did to Saunders.
