Pau Gasol come to the rescue? What was he gonna do, spit on the Portland player? He's already proved he's a typical Europeon player, soft as they come.

This is the problem with Lamar Odom. He has phenominal physical ability on the court, but his mental game leaves much to be desired. This is why he can be so frustrating at times. As a seasoned veteran, he should know how to excercise the proper self-control in these situations. If anything, one would expect him to be one of the players looking to make sure none of the younger players else leaves the bench area. Then to say he didn't leave the area when the video shows that he did really adds to my disappointement with him .

Another break by David Stern and his officials towards the Fakers. I doubt that Faker fans would want someone to come from behind Kobe as he was out in front of the crowd in the air and ready to dunk---only to be slammed in the head by some idiot who says he was going for the ball. What BS! The LA player should have been banned for 5 games minimum! Bad precedent set by the NBA and the Fakers!

He took only 3 freaken steps!!! It all happened in front of the Lakers bench, what was he gonna do, site 3 feet from Ariza and watch 3 guys go towards his team mate??? I guess a rule is a rule. Next time Odom, just stay sitting on the bench! And close your eyes... we need you on the floor. Maybe he'll get pissed off and have another 20/20 game vs the Spurs on Thursday!!!

Heck yeah! Rules say the Bench area and everything happened in the "Bench area"!!!! You can get off the bench, as long as you stay basically off the court, and it looked like Odom was right outside of the base line, witch if it all happened on the other side of the court, would have been ok!!! I really need to see it again to be sure!!

I've viewed the replays and still don't see where Odom left the bench. If that's the case, then all the players where pretty much standing near where the altercation occurred. As for Portland, more than techs should have been handed out. Ariza was surrounded by at least 6-7 players and yet none of them where suspended. OH, that's right, they where given two techs. Boo Hoo!

If anybody see's a friend, a team player, a relative, etc., about to possibly get into a "so call fight", trust me the normal reacton is to "go and help"....AND thats to stop it OR even help fight, so quit trying to act like you wouldn't do the same.

If Fernandez had gotten up off the floor, that would have been a tech-one......MAYBE.....but because his whiny little soccer-playin A$$$ got carried off on a backboard, it was ruled something else. When is the NBA gonna start making calls based on the actual play and not the injury sustained by the player.

As it turns out Fernandez essentially got the wind knocked out of him. Should the NBA now reverse the original call to match the true injury? That is why the NBA stand for "No Basketball Allowed"!!!!

Don't worry Lakers fan we would be all right, Just keep the date of April 10, in your mine or write it down that the next time we would play Portland in Portland and on that day we would show Portland who the beat team in the game today.

Did the Lakers ever consider a different strategy against the Trailblazers? If you have been losing since 2005, it is up to the coaches to come up with a radically new plan of approach, or you have lost before you got there! Maybe the second unit is not used to the restraints of the triangle offence and needs to be loosened up to just play the best basketball they can play.

Odom and Andruuw Jones are two idiots. Jones is gone--Odom is next. He said he was standing still. He walked three steps. Just like he does when takes off for a shot.

The only way he would be a bitch is if 1)he said things like you and 2)if he didn't come off the bench to protect and support his teammate.
