The Lakers need Ron Artest, its frustrating seeing Kupchak not making any moves to improve the team. They need a consistent starting small forward, they can send Radmanovich and Walton and add some other players and send them to the Kings for Artest.
The Lakers also need to to bring phisical low post defenders, say "Anderson Varajao", that can protect the paint and can defend and rebound.(Did you see the way he guarded Garnett in the playoffs!!) Radmanovich for Varajao.
Also how about bringing a consistent Point Guard say (Kirk Hinrich). Lamar Odom and Jordan Farmar for Hinrich and Nocioni or Ben Gordon.
Time to move Kupchak and improve the team, the Laker team of last year over achieved, because of the brilliance of Bryant and Phil Jackson, don't bet on the same good fortune happening again.
What about James Posey!!!!!! Pay him as much as he wants, How come you say that there are no good free agents out there. Unbelievable, time to go to work Kuphak........

I definetly agree we need artest. we need that a-hole type of player who is gonna play rough and with heart no matter how were doing. I dont think we should get rid of lamar though. I dont know how we could keep lamar and bring artest in but hey look how we got pau. We need to get rid of mbenga, newble, mihm, and rad. and as much as i sed to love walton i think he needs to step up or get to steppin. bynum with pau and odom on the wings. kobe driving and sasha sinking em sounds good to me!

yes, i think kupchak i correct on this one. can't dilly dally our team Lakers are gelled and other free agents will not gell on time. Gasol is a freak in a person who gelled real quickly but his inexperiance in the finals were no accident Garrnet wanted it more than anybody in the court next to kobe of course. the best thing is that when the Lakers win next year i will be more sweet to take it from the celts. Enjoy it Boston cuz you will not repeat!!! P.S. Gasol is not a freak i meant that i was freakish that someone to be so comfortable with people he never played with see you in October and in June. Quit hating and give him time. We got to the finals and nobody saw that coming. In Basketball it's hard to over achieve because you have to beat each team 4x in 7 games. That means something.

I think keeping Turiaf and Sasha are smart moves. They know the offense and have had success in it. Sasha's defense is steadily improving but he needs to work on his defensive footwork which lacked against a quicker Ray Allen during that crucial game 5 in L.A. Ronnie needs better post moves in order to establish a commanding presence down low coming off the bench for that second team. Once Ariza gets his timing and endurance backe he will be a welcome defensive presence and a great hustle man and perimeter shooter off the bench. Bynum has something to prove and will have a chip on his shoulder coming off of the injury to his knee. He is a true center and having him will take pressure off of Gasol which will allow Gasol to do what he does best, play that finesse game. Odom will be a rebound machine and that's all the Lakers need him to do. Anything additional is a plus. Kobe Bryant? Do I really have to say anything about the reigning MVP? Fisher and Farmar need to step up considerably, especially in the post season in order for the Lakers to be successful. Revenge is on the brain! Go Lakers!

Oh I almost forgot! Get rid of Radmanovich and Luke Walton. They are underachievers who have had plenty of time to flourish and have not. Either that or make them play in the summer league in Vegas to humble them a bit. Artest would have been nice and you know he would have behaved himself just to win a title. What about Baron Davis Kupchak? Clear the Roster and make some room. He would have been a nice change of pace for the Lakers. You need more than two point guards especially if someone gets hurt next season(knock on wood).

Our Lakers should concentrate on adding defensive bulky players to the team without sacrificing the team offense...offers for Rad or even LO should be entertained if the trust is for the overall betterment of the team...LO's take is at an annual $14M...a possiblity is for the Lakers to initiate a swap with the Kings for Artest whose annual take is at $7.5M...this means that an additional player that may be of great help to the team's cause could be involved in the trade...Rad may be dealt for a consistent outside shooter that may also be a consistent defensive threat...Ira and DJ may be dealt for a defensive power forward ala David Lee...LA should be a well-balanced team in terms of offense and defense for us to contend against the Irish next year...it is clear that we were outmuscled by Garnett, Pierce, Perkins, PJB, Posey, Powe, and Allen2 in the last championship series...let us meet them again in the finals next year meat- to- meat...Pau should gain weight so as not to be pushed around and should be very willing to mix it up inside...he would have penetrated to the basket more to solicit fouls...we lost the series due to lack of INTENSITY...

Baron Davis is coming to L.A. my friend, but not to the LAKERS.

The Lakers management should seriously be looking for some tough players like James Posey and a more consistent 3 point shooter like Berry of the Spurs. Radmanovic is too inconsistent and does not care to play dedense. You can go back in the Final games and see how he play D and it made me sick to death watching him play ; I wondered why Jackson keep he's on the floor.

Let Odom go! Dude is an enigma! For every one good game he plays, he dissappears in the next 3 or 4. Gasol is soft, but at least he is consistent. Sasha has a lot of talent and a lor more skills than folks think... the triangle doesn't really fit with him, but Phil needs to get creative and find away to get Sasha more looks.

I say cut the fat with Luke and Turiaf. I liked Turiaf's D and energy prior to the playoffs... but in the playoffs I realized what a liability he is out there. How many missed easy shots did he miss?

i beieive that the lakers can win with a healthy byum and lamar odom if he step up and come to play all 82 games.he was a big disappointment this season and da mvp down played it.but he knows that odom has to come to play.but with byum back he can return to his natural position.look 4 la 2 have a couple of 20 game winning streaks and be back in the finals again this season.

Look the LAKERS are a good team, but we need to get rid of WALTON (garbage), Mbenga, and Mihm. I love Lamar Odom but lets face it we need more beef inside. Bynum will make the lakers a better defensive team, unless the LAKERS can get Artest, i say keep Lamar. As for Sasha and Ronny, I like there energy but they are at best journeymen. Ronny needs to deelop a shot and Sasha is going to be asking too much for his contributions. Derik Fisher make the Lakers go, the championship showed our weakness ( a soft middle). So get rid of all these soft fowards and bring in a scoring, defensive machine (Brand, Artest), or food for thought ALOZO MOURNING. with "ZO" nobody gets in the middle, not even Garnett!!!
