Full story: LA Daily News

The Lakers waited and waited, and then waited some more Thursday night. Finally, after more than four hours, they made their one and only pick of the NBA draft, selecting Joe Crawford, a 6-foot-5 guard from ...

I say, resign Sasha and Ronny, then put them out on the shopping block. Look for a good PF or a back up center. At the same time, throw Mihm out there. We could get some decent swaps. They (Management) could make this team so powerful that if anyone should get hurt, it won't hurt us like last season..........

I liked what we did to get Pau Gasol the players we gave up where nothing. I really like the move we made in the draft getting Joe Crawford he's a proven player in college and I think he can make the transition to the NBA just fine. Another plus is that he'll get to play alongside and learn from two great players in Kobe and Derick. With Bynum coming back off of injuries this year Pao can slide over to his natural position at power forward. We are inproving our back court with another scorer. I like the moves Kupchak is starting to make it seems like we'll be in the championship hunt for a couple of years to come.

If this guy makes the team, it won't be because of his offense. It'll be because of his defensive intensity. Hopefully the Lakers learned a valuable lesson in the finals, that defense wins championships.

I think if this guy makes the team, he will be playing for most of the season with the defenders.

I think him, Coby and the Chinese guard, who looks like he will be joining the Lakers this preseason, more likely will playing a lot games for the defenders.
I don't see them getting into the rotation or the squad with real mins.

So more likely will be move to the D-League to get use to the triangle.

Uhhh what are You talking about Coby Karl is 6-5 is he is a big guard, he is only an inch shorter then Kobe, he does need to gain 6 more pounds.
He will be a really good shooter hitting 3s, he is not bad defender, he can pass the ball very well, as he has shown with the denfenders.
He will make the team beside the Lakers already gave hints that they want to keep him.
I agree with you on Karl. When given the playing time he shows himself to be a very good ball handler and not a bad shooter. He's loves the assist more that he likes to shoot. He is a pretty intelligent player.

Well a lot poeple see him as G, but for more of the scout report i read and what the Lakers want from him he is actually point guard or at least his game tents to shift in that direction, wants he gets a foot in the rotation, I could be a good passer with a deadly stroke from behind the arc.

What I do not like so far is that he seems scare of driving in, not scare of contact by to drive in the lane, he does not look comfortable doing it.

Hell No, trade that guy, he never showed up. He needs to go surf. The west is to strong for Chris. Between Luke and Chris they both bring the Lakers down.

I do not think is fair to judge Chris right now cause honestly he has not recover yet from his injury at least let him get this next preseason to see if can get back in shape. beside there are not too many 7 footer out there and his not on a big contract.

Luke, is a different story, but he looks like Phil favorite player, so I do not see him going any where, but I would trade him and Vlad if the right trade were to present it self.

You're right... Let's blame Vlad, and Sasha and Turiaf, and Pau. Let's not say anything about Kobe. Kobe freaking sucked!!! He was outclased by Pierce. Pierce was better on defense, better on offense, and better as a teammate. what did shaq say? Kobe tell me how my ass tastes. Kobe SUX!!! And will everybody stop talking about Pau. I thought that he completelly neutralized Garnet!!! Matched him point for point, rebound for rebound, and had more assists and better shooting percentage.
