No debate: Kobe should be MVP

Can we end all this now, please? Stop pretending, or demanding, there's some great debate here? What there is, is a clear and obvious choice.

no kidding!!!!!! Kobe is MVP. Not only is he the best player in the NBA today, he's the most fun to watch and he's also the reason why the Lakers are the most watched team in the NBA. The NBA needs Kobe. Just wait until the Lakers face the Celtics in the finals. David Stern must be loving this!

Well said Joe, Kobe has inspired the rest of the Lakers to get they're act together. Even when he's taking a rest on the bench, the reserves want to show that they are worthy enough to play.

Kobe will get mvp... even though he doesnt deserve it. HE IS NOT THE MOST VALUABLE FOR HIS TEAM. Where would they have been without Bynum or Pau. I think LeBron, CP, and KG deserve it more than Kobe, they are MORE valuable to there teams than Kobe is to his, Not taking anything away from Kobe though. KG helped the Celtics to get +42 wins differential from last season. That alone shows MVP status. Then you look at Chris Paul, 25 and 10+ assists, thats MVP style. I watched Kobe against denver, he had 32 points, but hmmm a large sum of that came from freethrows, he shot 9/25, not great. Pau is More valuable to the lakers than Kobe. But shouldn't the MVP go to someone who is the Best Player in the World, LeBron James, who again and again has to lead this sorry excuse of a team to the playoffs, and even led them to the finals Last Season.

my friend, i don't mean to argue with you much but honestly, you give Kobe Paul Pierce and Ray Allen and the Lakers go undefeated. Paul Pierce is a better player than Gasol and Ray Allen is still playing at an all-star level.

Kobe deserves MVP. He makes his teammates better. He lead his team in points and assists. He is the Laker's best defensive player. He played with a messed up pinky the entire second half of the season. He didn't miss a SINGLE game for the Lakers and battled through multiple injuries and still was able to be the team's best player...

If that's not MVP for you, then you are not well informed or you're one of those who have this thing against Kobe. All I ask for people is to not blind themselves and see who the real MVP is... KOBE!!!

If you've ever played bball, i would like to see you play and entire half season with a messed up pinky the way Kobe did... better yet, I would like to see KG, CP, LB do it...

Kobe deserves MVP, not only is he the best player in the NBA but he helps his team be better players also. Everybody loves to hate him and the Lakers but with Pau, Lamar, Luke and Sasha they are one of the most fun teams to watch on television. Go Lakers!! You rock!!
