Andrew will be a big help witht the Lakers next year, he'll give them rebounding and shot blocking they need. Add Ronnie into the mix, the Lakers will even be a better team.
What the Lakers should do is either get rid of Mihms or have him retire, his time has passed and it doesn't look like he can play anymore.
Artest won't help the Laker, he's to much trouble!

I think the Lakers need a defensive specialist similar to the Celtics or a college coach to assist with teaching the zone. Phil hates the zone, more NBA teams are using it just look at how it stiffled Kobe's scoring during the finals.

All well and good but I think, as we all saw, this a a body without a soul or a spirit and I don't think Bynum will be that. Somehow, the Lakers need to get an effective, inspirational leader on their roster (b-ball skills are secondary). With all his immense talent, that IS NOT Kobe.

The Lakers won't win without a change to a "defense first" philosophy. They have sent 2 totally different teams to the finals in the last few years and have had their heads handed to them defensively on both occasions. Detroit style D has spread to the Celtics and they dismantled the Lakers in the final game. Guys like Sasha and Vlad, Farmar and Odom..even Turiaf, displayed little inclination to play transition defense in the finals. Its the biggest cliche but defense IS about attitude and "want to". I don't see how a coach like Jackson can instill that kind of "want to" into players who can't commit to playing D even in their first (for most of them) finals appearance. Jackson has had two of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. I question his ability to really bring the kind of bruising defensive unit that is needed to defeat the eastern powers like Boston and Detroit.

Bynum will make this team into a near great one in my opinion. But they aren't going to defeat teams with the triangle with the present group of guys. They would need a James Worthy and a REAL point guard to do so. Nothing against Gasol or Fisher but the defensive weakness of Pau and the inability of Fisher to score inside or penetrate makes me think these Lakers team will always come up short in their strivings for a title. The WC isn't getting any easier to win and the Celtics aren't going anywhere either.

I would say that Lamar Odom is a guy they need to trade for someone who brings a presence on the glass. He's a terrific talent who is soft in all the wrong places. His performance in the finals was a severe disappointment to me as I am a fan of his. He's not an answer. More like an enigma.

the only person that plays D on the lakers is Koby. and the only one that played offence was koby. andrew bynum will help but pau and odum are to soft. sahsa does not play D. look what rayallen did to him blew right past him on a layup. rayllen 30 years old sasha 23 or so. so what do we do with walton. he's a mess. trade walton trade sasha trade odum. lets get labron james. what a treat that would be i think jerry west would be able to pull a trade? Koby odum walton and sasha for King james? he would fit right in with the purple and gold. he's also a free agent that is coming up

I am proud of the Lakers and can't wait until next season. Bring on the bought a team Boston we got something for you next season. Boston won't repeat and the Lakers will have their revenge. Someone please send Radmonivic and Walton packing for god sake they play basketball like little girls. The two of them are killing the Lakers and everyone can sugar coat it anyway they want, but I'm going to keep it real, they are garbage. The Lakers are still missing a piece small forward. Can somebody go out and get us a bad boy, we need Ron Artest. If that could happen our lineup would be sick. Not only can he defend but he is a consistent shooter. What the team needs is someone else on the team that thinks he is better than Kobe. Someone to tell Kobe when he isn't having a good game don't worry man I got this. Everyone keeps saying Luke Walton has a high Basketball IQ, give me a break He's a wuss, I'd send him packing along with his buddy Rockmonivic because they both could kick rocks.

And to lakers1, I agree the Championship seems like it was fixed, like the NBA said Lakers you're not going to win because it is Boston's turn. I really wish everyone would get off of Paul Pierce's you know what because he is a faker(Knee)wasn't nothing wrong with him he wanted to be the hurt hero who saved the day. He ain't nothing or ever going to be nothing but a thug. I also wish that someone would make sure that next year whoever is in the playoffs we get some commentators who commentate fairly because the biggest Laker Hater Jon Barry and Van Gundy should be fired for their commentating. And stop ramming the Boston Fans down our throats because last year when the Lakers played them their fair weather fan were chanting MVP to our BOy KOBE BRYANT, so don't tell me nothing about the fake Boston Fans. If the Celtics didn't get Garnett and only got Ray Allen they still wouldn't been nothing. So stop praising the thug Pierce and give the praise to the right player.

How is moving Gasol to the four man fulltime and moving Odom to the three man fulltime in any way help us vs Boston? That means Gasol has to go up vs Garnett now EVERY moment he is on the floor, and Odom has to try and match up with Paul Pierce? This is a good thing??

Love it if we could get Tayshaun. Team player who defends and hits the three pointer. He struggled against Pierce this year but everyone does. He could be a perfect fit.

WHAT R U TALKING ABOUT GUYZ?
we r all NOwitZnesses to LAKERS fall down!
wat a weak MVP!
SO NOOB!
NO DEFENSE AT ALL! thats why they were assasinated by BOSTON!
IM A LAKERS FAN, BUT THATS THE TRUTH! EVEN IF IT HURTS!
LET'S SUPPORT THE "Dallas mAVERICKS"
FOR THE TRADE...
- dont trade ODOM for either Marion or Artest!
marion is a very good offensive player but lacks defense & passing skill!
artest is a good defensive player but has no good passing skill!
* both of them has a weak chemistry with pau GASOL but if ever there will be a TRADE... i will choose RON ARTEST!
all I can SAY to the FINALS:
there was something Happened like it was a "SCRIPTED ONE"!
