The Suns really lost on that one. Horry vs. Stoudemire and Diaw... That's a good ploy, have a mediocre player commit a flagrant, and take two talented players out...

It appears to me now the NBA playoffs are fixed. Stern knows who he wants in the playoffs I wonder what would happen if a Spurs player was injured. Stern would most likely make Phoenix forfeit the game. NBA worst pro league in fairness.

D'Antoni said it all: no fairness and no common sense. They rewarded the agressor.

Why wouldn't the Phoenix bench react, Nash has only had a bloody nose in one game and kneed in the nuts in another game. Stern said they need to be consistent on enforcement of the rules. Maybe he should be more concerned about consistency on referee calls.
We will see what Phoenix has left for Friday night's game after using a short bench.
Thanks Commissioner for screwing up good series because you have no backbone to do the fair thing.

If the playoffs were fixed, Dallas would still be playing, but GSW are just matched right against Dallas. GSW out performed Dallas in their contest during the regular season. Spurs also out played the Suns in their match-ups.

So Horry did this on purpose knowing in advance that these 2 guys would do this and get tossed. Amazing, if he could read the future like that, why is he palying basketball? He would clean up on playing the lottery and stock market.
OK, change the rule to what? Your alloud to run up to someone as if you are going to fight, but not touch them and it is OK? Folks, the rule is in effect because they don't want a baseball game to breakout on the court. Everybody knows the rule, don't move!!! Who knew it would be those 2? Quit whinning and Horry, don't whine either. You got what you deserved for a flagrant foul.

This is the problem with making rules and not accepting any exceptions. It's kind of like being the guy in hockey that retaliates...he's usually the one in the box. The difference here is that they use replay to determine whether a rule is broken. I love watching NBA games but I think the officiating stinks and it has for the last few years. They continuously bail out the "star" players and make every attempt to make an uncompetetive game look close. The Suns were robbed last night...I never thought I'd say this but I 100% agree with Barkley and think the rule needs to be changes. If you're using replay, you can see intent and you can see result. If the result IS an escalation to the situation, than suspend...if a coach stops them or they realize what they're doing is wrong before it escalates, than no blood, no foul.

uh people only one spurs player was involved in the incident when 2 suns rushed the court . how is that not fair. should duncan been suspended to make it even for the suns. maybe stoudemire and diaw should be blamed for not knowing the rules of the nba and being dumb. the suns make excuses for everything but im gonna come out and say it , they arent made to win in the playoffs no defense and they rely on jump shots and easy layup baskets but those are hard to come by in the nba playoffs. fair is fair . oh also sun sentinel needs a new editor its BIG SHOT BOB NOT BIG SHOT ROB DUMBASS.

I am a fan of Spurs because of Tim Duncan ang Manu Ginobili but even though, the decision for giving suspension for Amare and Diaw was not fair. The games at this moment should not be decided by Stern and Stu but by the coaches and players. Its better that they didnt give punishment to Horry than giving Amare and Diaw suspension. So maybe this will de fair to both of them,so mathematically Add Stu + Stern -Horry = 1,then Suns is -2(Amare + Diaw),so 1-(-2)=3,Spurs won by 3 points (Final score was 88-85)

No, the editor is no a dumbass. Horry prefers Rob, he doesn't like Bob at all. And if you look at the replays, Raja Bell actually got physical with Horry, and if the game had any time left, they sahould have been both ejected.

You're definitely wrong when trying to say that the Suns aren't made to win, implying they should be on the losing end of this decision or others. If that were true, the Mavericks should still be playing because Golden State wasn't worthy or built for the playoffs (yet they beat the team with the MVP & best record this year).

It just doesn't work that way.
These games need to be played (preferably at full strength) in order to crown the champ.

No one has really addressed how to prevent in the future.
One solution could be to have players that are on the bench be behind a barrier or wall much like hocky players are in a box while on the bench. Leaving the box would constitute a penalty but at the same time it would remind players why they are behind the wall that penalties would be severe.

REDICULAS!! Well we really got penalized for horrys dumb decision. Punishing diaw and staudamire was completley unacceptable. Its a basic instinct to help your teamate that has just been hurt! i understand what why the rule was set but i still think that since they didnt fight they shouldnt have been suspended!
