I want each person to be aware that the Indianapolis Star's website deletes comments by users. While oftentimes the responses lack intelligence and spew more verbal jabs and inneundo, some of the responses are stimulating and can help provide more thought provoking ideas to better our community as a whole.
However, I have now witnessed that the Star has taken a new direction by reposting articles, thus removing all comments and allowing more room for new blogs. Truly, this is a clear indication that there is a need competition to the Star as they do not reflect the public's voice nor do they educate the public about all public policy issues and I encourage the public to demand that our news organizations live by integrity.
Yep, been there done that. They're all bout deletin'.....especially if it's anything REALy negative about IU basketball. They won't allow it to sit on here about how IU loses to Indiana State, all the time, and loses to Butler. This may last a couple of minutes. IU basketball sucks!

These articles get reposted because they get updated and moved from the "latest news" section to the appropriate categoric section, like Sports or Business, etc. So relax there buddy...
Go relax yourself little Al with some laxatives and Metimucil. Obviously, you don't have a clue what this guy is talking about, do you? You're a douche, Al.

What ex-pacer can you compare #31 to? We have never had great players. I sure can't come up with ten franchise players! As long as a sports franchise is ran like a business without a competitive owner this is what you will get. Losers. I'm hoping for a Mark Cuban wannabe to come in and change things.

oneil should never be on that list. there were alot of great Pacers and oneil is not one of them. oneil thinks he should be on the list, i would trade him for someone else faster then could eat a peanut.
First of all, its O'neal, not Oneil... Secondly, how many other Pacers have made the all star as many times as him? Or have had 18+ point, 9+ rebound seasons. He deserves to be on the list.
---- As for the ABA Championship teams vs. modern day.... I think that the group with Reggie, Rik, etc could have won a couple champioships (at least one-'98) if it wasnt for a man named Michael Jordan. However, Im not so sure Dale and Antonio belong on the list compared to someone like Chuck Person.

Tell me... how many other teams can name ten "franchise" players?? Aside from teams like the Lakers and Celtics...there aren't many.

Roger Brown was the best player ever. Fan polls are useless in this kind of stuff, you get people voting who don't know basketball and aren't even Pacer fans. Let Bobby Leonard tell us who the best player was, he would know and you could count on it being so.

Reggie was great but he wasn't even the clutch player Brown was. When the game was on the line and it came down to the last shot, they gave the ball to Roger and he won it for us every time. Reggie has some very famous games where he won it on a last second shot but he missed a lot of those kind of shots too.

Pacers all time team I would say:

Roger Brown
George McGinnis
Reggie Miller
Mel Daniels
Mark Jackson

<quoted text>I've been deleted on my comments several times myself,to me this is censorship.Just because they at the IndyStar evedently thought my comments were inappropriate or something. Why even have this comment section if you people at the Star delete peoples comments,or do not say the complete truth? I'll probably be on their SH*T list again,to bad though.
I think the reason for the censorship here at the Star "Talk Back" is the same reason NBC fired Imus. Just because you've got the platform to speak doesn't give anyone the right to offend others with their free speech right. I've got more than 200 posts since December, and I haven't had one removed or deleted.

I think the Star does a fine job censoring posts that take away from the discussion, and those posts most of us find offensive.

I actually agree we should get Artest back if we could have Reggie to tame him down. Reggie could not stop the fight in Detroit, but there was plenty of blame to go around--for one thing when Big Ben was ejected he should have been removed immediately from the floor, not allowed to keep shouting at Artest. There was not nearly enough security. That said--with Reggie clearly the team leader, Artest was defensive player of the year--the man has a wealth of talent, but needs strong guidance.

It was 8 points in 8 seconds!
