Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh need to be fired, immediately. They have utterly destroyed this team from the bottom up.
Here is my list of bad moves and counting.
1. signing Jamaal Tinsley to a 7 year deal
2. Keeping Ron Artest around in 03-04 while the Kings wanted to trade a Stejocavic still in his prime
3. The 2004 Malice in the Palace
4. Keeping Ron Artest are the fight in the off season
5. Signing the big bust Sarunas.
6. Ron Ron go psycho and demands a trade
7. Keep Ronnie on the Roster for almost 10 weeks then to trade for a guys who ultimately opted out of his contract
8. Trade for Al Harrington with our 1st round pick
9. Pass on Marcus Williams for Shawn Williams, when we truly needed a PG, not another SF.
10. Kept Rick Carlisle around for another bad season.
11. Traded are 2007 and 2008 2nd draft picks for James White, who was cut.
12. Traded Austin Croshere’s expiring contract for a thug in Marquise Daniels.
13. Traded fan favorite for senior citizen Darrell Armstrong and two nobodies.
14. September 10, Stephen Jackson, Jamaal Tinsley, and Marquise Daniels gent in there first bar fight.
15. Traded away Al Harrington away and in return got two worthless players who have over $100 million dollars in guaranteed money.
16. February 7, 2007, Jamaal Tinsley, Marquise Daniels, and Keith McLeod get in a bar fight and rip off some guy’s ear.
17. Hired a nobody of a coach.
18. Didn’t do squat in the draft and got a guy name Stinko when they should have tried to at least get local favorite Josh McRoberts.
This is just the list of terrible mistakes that Donnie and Larry continue to make and turn this once proud franchise into a cellar dwelling team.
Here are some of my predictions of mistakes to come.
1. Don’t trade Jermaine O’Neal. He either gets seriously hurt and were on the hook for $40 million or he Opts out and we get zippo in return.
2. Trade away future first rounder for next year for a player in Europe that just finished 8th grade.
3. Kevin McChale and Danny Ainge loose there jobs. Bird brings them both in and makes them his direct assistants.
4. Turn the Pacers into an ABA or DBL team.
5. Larry Bird decides to suit up and shows the guys a thing or two.
I agree with most of this, except they were right in not drafting McRoberts. He's stuck up, spoiled, and a really big crybaby when something doesn't go his way.

Larry had to have brain washed Donnie or something. Donnie was doing excellent on his own until Larry came along. Donnie needs to grow some stones and fire Larry Bird and then hire him as head coach where he is actually effective.

Would everybody just chill he's trying to build for the future. Stop hatin on our pick when you don't know anything about him. Bird is going to make more moves so just be patient. SHEESh
thats what i thought at first but after he destroyed an orginization in only three years, lost many draft picks including a second round draft pick for a guy who we are not sure is going to come and play in the U.S., and brought in a few thugs, i'm not sure he is right for the job.

I think the pacers are making the right decisions for the future, but when the free agent maret opens up, they really need to get a good shooter, and a good center for this comming season. If they can get two good players to fill those voids, even if it do mean a couple of trade and signs where Center David Harrison and G-F Rawle Marshall must be traded to sign some good players, they should do it. If they can fill the voids for this season, Jermaine O'Neal well have no problem resigning. The pacers could be a top contender in the east with the right peices of the puzzle for this year, and in the next two to three years, they have amazing tallent comming for overseas.

Top Ten Things The Pacers Should Do.

1. Continue to use the IntelligGm Data Analysis Software before making any major Trade, signings, or Coaching decisions.
2. Allow season ticket Holders to take home Boomer for the night. Immediately following all Pacer home Games.
3. Bring back the Legend/ John Stockton size trousers. They add for increase flexibility and my trainer over at Lifetime seems to be always pushing those sorts of kinetic behaviors.
4. Attempt to trade for the following Players Mike Miller, Dan Dicka, Bob Sura or any player of the like.
5. Allow Season Ticket Holders like myself to pre-order concessions so as to not have to speak with Conseco Fieldhouse Staff
6. Raise Ticket Prices so that certain segments of the population shall we say are not allowed to speak abusively about Mr. Bird from the Balcony.
7. Eliminate the stomp/street dance routines for those trashy pacemates. Add more classic routines such as the Boogie Woogie.
8. Reassign/Reach termination agreements with all ushers who are either over 55 or have a physical disability.
9. Invite Jack Tradeau to the Pacers Academy downtown to speak to the Youth about the Dangers of Comb overs.
10. Make Fever/Pacer rosters interchangeable

Bring back Isiah???? He's just as bad as Bird, they had the 9th pick that went to the Bulls, then they trade half the team for troubled Zack Randolph. Good players do not make good GM's. Bird, Thomas, Jordan, McHale. I wonder who is running the Spurs and the Suns. I doubt a big name guy.

you know this group of comments says it all. There are only 112 people who give a shit enough to care about who the Pacers draft. This is what Larry has brought to the most rabid basketball state in the country. He has delivered apathy. I know all of us posters care. We care to the point of being sick to our stomachs over what Larry Legend has done to this team. You would thnk there would be 300 comments here or 400 comments about this idiotic pick. But, no. Just 112 people care enough to let their voice be heard. Mr. Simon, think about this. You can prograstenate or you can take action. You don't even have to look for a replacement. Donnie is still here. He might not be here very much longer. Put Donnie back in charge. He got you to respectability. Don't let this bird brain sink you to the bottoom of the barrel.

Good-bye Pacers!!! The Blazers have a new fan. I'm from Terre Haute and it's nice to have a local boy to root for. The Pacers are a complete embarassment. They're thugs and Jamal Tinsley will never take this team anywhere except the lottery unless Larry Legend trades all our draft picks away again. Wait, was that a 2nd round pick that just went out the window? I've rooted for the boys since the days of the ABA. I cannot stomach it anymore. Anyone want to buy some Pacer swag cheap?

I think Larry B is a little to secure in his job. How else do you explain him picking a player that will not play for us for 3 years when we have had the worst record in years? Is that why all of these other teams are getting quality starter in the 2nd round and we are where we are? Dickie V was talking about all of the talent in round 2 that teams were able to pick up over the years Boozer, Arenas, etc and we take a project. I at least would have liked to have seen us work something out as McRoberts was sliding so we could grab a hometown kid, who would have been the #1 pick a year ago, to be the face of this franchise.
LOL McRoberts are you crazy? He will never become an all-star and seems to be an attitude player. You obviously didn't watch many Duke games this year.

Isiah only looks like a genious because people don't mind playing for a state like New York. Even when we have our championship hope you never hear of ANY player in his prime say he wants to play for INDY. That's why you have to rely on players to draw other players to your team, i guess nobody thinks Jermaine is a championship caliber guy to jump ships for as players do for Duncan and Shaq. Only way this team will ever make another finals appearance is to breed another hall-of-famer like we did with Reggie. NO FREE AGENTS EVER GO TO INDY they want florida cali new york chicago. only time trades work is when the player or the team is tired of the other. STOP the BS people we only get free agent that don't expect to get their jersey retired. BTW, it only took Larry a couple years to make us look like a contender for a title, HE did't blow that up the players did

I think we have done great! We have incoming prospects in Erazem Lorbek that makes SportsCenter every day and we traded for a huge prospect in Europe so he can develop there!!! In the mean time we will try and improve the team by signing key free agents like Kareem Rush for example. Excellent 3 point shot that wasnt in the leauge last year. Were lucky. Charlotte released him because of his work ethic which makes sense we would sign him. Coach O'Brien will get on the way to paradise. Were thinking about extending Tinsley for 8 more years worth 200 Million. He deserves it. Wait and See!! Thanks Detroit and Ben Wallace, WE LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT!!!
