What's going on with Larry and co.? the last few years we've traded draft picks for players that are no longer with the Pacers. Going in the '07 draft without a pick, we give up a '08 2nd pick for a player who can't even play for the Pacers at least 3 more years! the pacers hopefully will make the lotto pick after this season, and hopefully they won't throw it away on players we don't need or baggage like Artest or Jackson! Pacers fsns, like me, get ready for a long season it ain't gonna be pretty!

You have got to be kidding me! I was joking to people the other day that we would jump in for a froeigner that would not even play for us for a few years then wake up to this article....

Don't worry be happy. We will be so bad that we should get some very high picks over the next few years. Then I will put on my wizard hat and find some way to trade these high picks for thugs. I get paid a lot for this stuff. I sure am having fun with you guys.

my bad it was an '09 2nd round pick and not '08, but the fact is, if the Pacers are gonna trade picks get someone we need NOW! not three years down the road and they don't know for sure he'll play here in three years.they got to stop throwing draft picks away!!!

I agree and the fact is they don't know what will happen in the next three years. He could get hurt and his bb future be over or he'll deside he doesn't want to play in the U.S. and re-sign with his team he playing for now.The bottom line is the last couple years the Pacers have give away their draft picks and they have nothing to show for it, except a very bad team!

Ok, So we own the rights to a player we will not see in a Pacer's uniform for at least 3 years. Good move! Why do I buy a season ticket again?

What an idiot Bird is. He's arrogant and full of you know what. He says that he is working real hard trying to make a deal to become a player in the draft. The one player he wanted goes alittle early to Utah at 25. So basically he was looking for a very late first rounder or second rounder to help a team he has butchered. Thanks Larry, for all the lies and the mess you've created.

Lets trade a 2010 pick for a European accountant.

I hear you, Shields, but what do you expect from a bird brain? We're talking about one who still uses "I seen..." to begin certain sentences -- this after 16 years of schooling! While we watched the sharp-eyed hawks and soaring eagles feather their nests with new, exciting talent, we also watched our dodo bird blink in confusion from the ground and finally make an attempt to get in on the sweeping and swirling activity of draft night by further emptying his nest. We're talking about a dodo who in many ways is fundamentally uneducable and should be (as president of an NBA team) soon extinct.

The problem is they can't win and they can't even lose. The Pacers will be just good enough next year to miss all the good picks. We are in the dark ages.

Another 40-40 season, if we are lucky. Nice to see all the great players, Jordan, Ainge, Bird, McHale, completely killing their teams. Guys, leave the GM part to people who can actually perform the required duties.

Maybe if enough people stay away from the Pacer games somebody in management will take the hint that drastic changes are needed. I mean, THIS IS INDIANA, THE BASKETBALL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! We need to start acting like it! First buy Bird and Tinsley a one way, first class ticket to any destination you choose (As long as there is ample gentlemen's clubs for Tinsley).

Why did we make this trade for a player is under contract for three more years.

Bird needs fired. He has ruined the Pacer franchise. We have the worst team in the NBA. If we played in the Western Conf we would have only won 10 ganes all season.

Why does Bird keep trading our future picks for nothing. When you have a team as bad as ours the only way you build it back is through the draft with young players. Remember when we use to draft players like Miller, Smits, Davis, Davis, etc........Bird must go.........or move the Pacers to Cincinnati with the other bad franchises.
