Awesome playoff game. Sasha's block brought the house down! It was great to hear real fan explosion versus the phoney arena blare concocted by NBA "entertainment".
With LeBron under the weather, this is the kind of post season game Mike Brown has been preparing us for. Another great coaching job and another great effort by the supporting cast. Whoever thought Sasha would be a defensive hero? These lazy prima dona Nets don't care so let's take `em out!

How come when other players on the team are ill, they don't get full coverage on their illness? Oh, I know, LeBron has the Beacon under his thumb.

Aw, did poor little LaBronia have the sniffles? Poor little boy - maybe he should stay in bed a few days and rest his little body. Or maybe he just played that he was sick so he had an excuse for his pitiful 21 points! Better pick up the pace LaBronia or you're going to be going home early and let your team and fans down yet again.

Right on, Temple-Man...quite a game under the circumstances. I think the Nets were tired...and we were rusty. It kind of cancelled out and the best team won. But tired or not, the Nets now have remembered that the Cavs aren't the Raptors and as most teams know, special attention must be paid to our strengths and ways of doing things. Maybe the Nets might win a game or two (at most), but I wouldn't be surprised at a sweep. I think we'll play a lot better tormorrow night. And remember, we've won 9 in a row...all pressure games. We had to win the last 4 regular season games and hope the Bulls would lose one...we did and they did. Then the sweep of the Wiz and then yesterday's game. We may not be glittery like the Suns (or even the Spurs), but hey, we're winning and I think we'll keep on doing that.

Anyway, as to Steve D's post...who cares???? If that's the worse thing you can complain about, you're doing okay. Instead of complementing LeBron, you seem bent on focusing on a non-game reality. I think the illnesses of various other players have been mentioned here and there, but how many LeBron's are there? How many score a double-double? Come on, focus on the games...but hey, if picking out something like you did is a bit silly. Don't mean to offend you, but hey, you put your post out here and...oh, well...made my point.

So, we'll see, but I for one am quite impressed with the way the Cavs hung in there and when crunch time came, they were ready. Sasha had a good game...Z played within himself (with an extremely nice rebound near the end), Drew was Drew...which is good, and LeBron...well, despite the naysayers out there licking their wounds, he did okay in my book.

Hey Akron...what's the point? Has it ever dawned on you that the Cavs are a TEAM, not one great player and a "supporting cast?" No matter what happens in the end, "our" team is in the playoffs and that's what we want. Take your "cute negativity" and...well, you know what to do with it. But, "pitiful 21 points"???? Come, on.

Steve D = moron #1, Akron = moron #2. Nice job guys, way to bring it.

Lebron "has the Beacon under his thumb" because this is his team. He is the best player in the game. Period. You want to see a full-page spread on Ira Newble? Moron.

And "poor little boy"? "Excuse for his pitiful 21 points"? How is 21 in the playoffs against a lock-down Nets defense pitiful? In a win, nonetheless? Moron.

haha the haters are slowly losing steam. Uh Oh, might be time for a crow sandwich! The Cavs didnt even play that well offensively and they DOMINATED that game yesterday. Top 5 defenses always tend to end up in the Finals. We're a better team than Jersey, plain and simple.

Akron and Steve might wanna fall on their swords soon, cuz "Lebronia" is the biggest star left in the playoffs, and he's playing like it. 21 points and nearly a triple-double with a throbbing head cold? are you KIDDING me?? The reason it was covered and discussed was because Lebron is a STAR, the first one Cleveland has had since Jim Brown. RISE UP!!

I agree ... what a sissy! Next thing you know the Beacon will be reporting Wednesday that Lebron had such bad gas during the game Tuesday that it affected his game.

Was GI covering himself for his sniffles or was he just hiding all those ridiculous tattoos on his torso. If this guy is
C-town's savior, why doesn't the media have the guts to ask him what all those engravings mean---especially the "chosen 1 " ?

The Cav's D needs a little improving. The Nets got a lot of open shots(more than we did) and just couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. We need to tighten up and keep driving to the hole like yesterday. The Nets have no answer for our inside play. If they keep getting those open shots, they may start hitting them. I don't think our defensive effort was that great, just bad shooting.

Akron and Steve what's up bro. Sounds like the two of you are classic bitterman. Both of you guys are from Akron, and so is LeBron. Why the hatred? Could it be that when you were in Jr. High, that you girlfriends quit you , because they had crushes on LeBron? The two of you strike me as the type guy who if the Cavs won the NBA title in six games, would complain that they did not sweep. What do you guys soak in lemon juice daily? The sun is shining the birds are singinging, the Indians are in first place and the Cavs are favored to go to the E.C. finals, enjoy life, and stop drinking from the indusrtial size bottle of the Hatorade! What a couple of bittermen you two guys are.

Hey, Joshie - I'm saving all my good comments for when they lose the "BIG" one. And they will lose cuz remember LaBronia has the sniffles and it may just affect the way he plays and since he has such a "BIG" head, it may a long time for him to recover from the sniffles.

You guys are pathetic ("Akron" and Steve). You complain constantly. Like it or not, Lebron is a superstar on a global level, and he is proud to be from Akron. Your pissing and moaning is very sad and gets old real fast.
Lebron is the only 'super star' left in the playoffs. You'd better get used to stories on Lebron (not from the local media - nationally). ESPN reported on his cold - are you going to talk about them too?
You'd complain about anything in the ABJ. Why do you even read it in the first place?
How about you save everyone from reading your stupid comments, and boycott the paper.
How about you start one yourself that reports the way you see fit.
Won any awards for journalism lately?
No, I'm sure you haven't.

Hey MORON! Did you not see the game? Before you start throwing your comments around, maybe you better think back to the game and realize that it was the smart defensive play by Pavlovic that won the game for the Cavs last night. You are too quick to jump on the LeBron Band Wagon, just like the Beacon Journal, and you fail to see that this team does not belong to LeBron and LeBron only. Wake up, you moron!!!! Give credit where credit is due, because otherwise they were set to lose that game.

No, you are wrong. I'm much, much older than LeBron. It is because when he WAS in high school, the Beacon was up his butt 24/7 and it got very old very fast. You need to wake up and stop throwing your assumptions around. Thank the Beacon for the hatred.

Maybe if LBJ was at home resting instead of going out to nightclubs (was in Akron club at 2am Thursday) he wouldn't be getting sick.
