Ok, Get Charles in Charge of getting in shape...Randolf, Curry and James his first candidates.
The Knicks turned the corner again. Last time they did so they were also playing the Spurs. Unfortunately they have to play on the road now. They are going to do better than their last road trip, obviously. I think the inclusion of Collins and especially Balkman later is going to be a springboard for the Knicks going forward. They both offer so much contribution to both the offensive and defensive end. So what about Balkmans mistake, it will never happen again, those type of mistakes are the ones you learn from the hard way. The play of Chandler will add to their defense, he can block shots and rebound and is much more mobile than Randolf.
So the Knicks are changing gears again with the addition of Balkman and Nate before, with the addition of Collins and Chandler now they will have enough energy to finish games. They have played well over their losing streak with only a couple of plays keeping them from victory. If they were a veteran team then you would have something to worry about. By overcoming these mistakes they will become a good team. The addition of a shotblocker and another scorer, whether that is a scoring small forward or a backup to Crawford will make them ready on a run for a championship.
When Nate comes back all systems are go. Collins should rest him and Crawford enough for the team to overcome their fourth quarter swoons and give an added boost on defense. Balkman adds defensive pressure all over the court and gobbles up offensive rebounds like Packman.
Hang in there Knicks....the best is yet to come.

Eric Gordon of Indiana would be a great player for the Knicks to pick up in the draft. He would have an immediate impact with his outside shot freeing up easy shots for Curry and his inside moves helping them win games. He or Bayless might be available in the draft when the Knicks pick. Gotta look ahead. Brook Lopez too slow too much of a project, Knicks have to go with the best athlete/player available to make an immediate impact. Can pick up another player with a trade in the draft or a trade that could shore up the shot blocking department. With Nate and Collins coming on the Knicks should be adequate in the point guard dept. next year. If Marbury comes back then they would have a full complement in the backcourt, with defense, scoring and assists. They can pick up another point when they get rid of Marbury. Maybe trade Marbury for a shotblocker out there....O'Neal???, rather have someone who is tougher mentally. Any shotblockers out there? Can we get Camby back?
