Tanks to Thomas, Knicks might get high draft pick

Full story: Newsday

In another indication that Isiah Thomas' days with the Knicks could indeed be numbered, there are veteran players disturbed by the notion that Thomas has gone into all-out tank mode.

The chef03 is right. The media is good for 2 things, hyping up situations and going along with the flow. I hope you media writers dont write a thing about the knicks when they begin to win games. You guys are horrible. Next time you think about writing about the knicks, how about you write about when Cleveland has seen a playoff apperance in what 10 years since jordan was around. Or maybe when dallas was the worst team in the league, or maybe when was the last time atlanta saw the playoffs, oh...how about when the grizzles made the playoffs or how about. Leave the Knicks alone. And someone please tell me....WHO IS GOING TO HAVE THE GUTS TO TAKE ISIAH'S POSITION? WHO??? NO ONE CAN. DO YOU WRITERS EVEN KNOW WHO A GOOD GM IN THIS LEAGUE RIGHT NOW HOW IS GOOD ENOUGH TO REPLACE ISIAH? Pay close attention, Isiah and Marbury will be back next season. 1) Isiah has a long contract 2) Steph is till owed for one more season. So deal with it.

Thomas made a "deal with the devil" by trying to rebuild the Knicks around Marbury.
Marbury may have talent, may even be the guy that puts a team over the top someday, but he's no centerpiece. No leader either. They have been completely inconsistent since the day he arrived. I'm not saying he's a bad player. He's a good one. But he's no centerpiece. I knew we were in trouble 4-5 years ago.
