They've tried Larry Brown & Isiah and player after player. There is no quick fix. This sounds like a disaster. It's not like he was turning Indiana around. And, it sounds like that idiot Isiah is staying. Bad bad bad move.

Like most Knick fans, I'm looking foward to a change from the dysfunctional circus that we have now. But, if it is not done right, it will just be throwing gasoline on the fire. Ownership is the real issue here. However, you can't do anything about that. Dolan is not selling the team. Why would he? The thing that you guys seem to gloss over here is that the Knicks are a money making machine. Even with the horrible record. Even with the buyout after buyout. Even being way, way, way over the salary cap. Yes, even being the laughingstock of the league, the Knicks are one of the most wealthy teams. Until that changes, the soap opera will continue. Will screw with "success". There is a story there and it needs to be reported on

If Isiah stays then Walsh can count on Thomas calling Dolan regularly trying to undermine him. The last thing Thomas wants to do is to help Walsh prove that he was the wrong man for the job. If Thomas is back next year then thats it for me.

Attendance at Consecco FH is low due to fierce competition with college and HS hoops.
Anyway noone can do worse than Isiah Thomas. He was horrible wih the Pacers, picking up an NBA finalist and getting 2 1st round exits.
The NYK have a decent squad that needs work on.
Marbury shoul be out of the NBA. Eddy Curry is workable.

With the NHL salary cap, the Garden is saving tens of millions in payroll that would have been squandered on the Rangers. That savings gets added to the MSG coffers, along with the playoff revenue that the hockey team will generate again this season. Add to that the shocking near-capacity crowds still generated by the Knicks, and you're right, Dolan has no financial incentive to change his ways, as if he could.
