Mother concerned about Pacers as Role Models

I think we are missing a much bigger picture here than just who brought what trophy home to Indiana. The Pacers are (Or should be) role models to our children. What statement is being made to our children when these Pacer players are going out to strip clubs and using weapons? I believe that these players need to step up to the plate and be men that are positive role models. And a man is not someone that uses their fists or shoots guns. We need role models that make the choice not to go out to the club and not to engage in fighting. It is a stronger person that can walk away than to make headlines of our newspapers. And think about the children that have seen or heard about this incident or other incidents on the news or from friends. Have these Pacer players thought once about how those children will start reacting to each other? I believe they should be removed from the organization. Indiana does not need negative role models in our state no matter how good they are at basketball.
