Marc Stein: Looks like we have a fairly significant three-way deal that has been submitted to the league just before the trade deadline.

NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com that Orlando is acquiring Rafer Alston from Houston to fill the void created at point guard by Jameer Nelson's shoulder injury.

The Rockets will receive Memphis guard Kyle Lowry, Orlando forward Brian Cook and perhaps two other minimum-salaried players to make the finances work.

The Grizzlies will receive a first-round pick from Orlando.

So Otis, you are by your non actions, feel that ty loo,or anthony johnson can get the job done for the magic all the way into the playoff's. I hope this gamble pays off, but I think you have made a bad decision. You had earlier claimed that releasing dooling and arroyo was good for nelson, was that good for the over all team. Did you ever even consider the fact that nelson could get injured even just for a stretch that AJ could hold that important position in tact. The team is in trouble and Van Gundy is blaming himself for game plan adjustments. The fact is it is not his fault, you have left him with few working options and the offense is crumbling. Arroyo was better than the two we have now,but I think Marbury could have been brought in,or was there a sticking point in that? Good luck with the rest of the season, and I will cheer on the Magic no matter what happens, but I think if this backfires, its time for you to move on.

O-magic, you are an idiot. Courtney Lee and Hedo are not going to fill in the gaping hole that we have at the point guard position right now. We are a .500 ball club without Jameer. we dont have any player who can truly create and distribute for everyone else. Teams are hardly double teaming Dwight now because they know that they can shut down everyone else on the team, which is sad considering one of them is making $120 million. CLEE is the real deal and will be very good in a couple seasons, but will not be able to pick up the slack this year. It is truly depressing. Otis has done well for the magic. There have been many times i have questioned the moves he has made or lack there of, but he has proved me wrong each time. That being said, i do not understand what he is thinking right now. He is discouraging Jameer about playing again this season and at the same time making no trade for a decent guard. Turks agent has already made things sound shady about his contract for next year which would signal that he probably wont be back next season. Why not ship him out for a solid PG and potentially another PF/C? I'm not about to make up any scenarios but i know there are some out there. Instead otis is just going to sit on his **** and do nothing. That pisses me off to no end, because the window of opportunity is so small in this league. Why throw in the towel for the season when there is still a shot at salvaging it? As it stands right now we are looking at a first round exit w/o Jameer. Hopefully otis is truly hoping inside for a Jameer come back because if not, he is retarded thinking we can just go on without him. Jameer cant hurt his shoulder any more than it already is. Let him rehab and come back and lets try to make a playoff run. He is perfectly capable of playing a high level of ball with the torn labrum, and he is going to get the surgery which will be a six month process either way wether its now or at the end of the season. Jameer better be coming back because i dont see us making a move by the end of today. If today goes by without a trade and we hear that Nelson wont be coming back for the season a few weeks later, i will hate Otis. We need more depth anyway. It is painful to watch us play right now. Otis, you cant just let a title contending, previous top 2 team that held the leagues best record only a few weeks ago just go to waste. Dont just wait for next year, Any one of our players can just as easily get hurt next season. Either make a deal or let jameer come back. Hes ahead of schedule for rehab anyway. I can deal with us sucking a little while longer if i know hes gonna be back at least in time for playoffs. We still have a shot so lets make this happen!
Ohh Thanks Pedro...and you are the Genius from Astatula.

Jameer sucked last year....were we a .500?

Interesting info how this impacts HEDO resign!

"an - Ocala: The only downside I see on the Orlando deal is, does this make it harder to re-sign Turk Next Year? But Ty Lue, and AJ come off the books... and even next year a much better back-up Point addressing some of the depth issues correct?

SportsNation John Hollinger:(4:18 PM ET ) Looks like they're OK as long as Turk starts at under $10 million next year, especially since they no longer will have the cap hold for the first-round pick.In this market that seems reasonable.
